Saturday Savers Club Progress week 52 - Powered up 177 HP and bought more DRIP !

Its week 52 (30/12/23) of my savings focus for 2023 with the Saturday Savers Club which I think is a great Hive community initiative run by @shanibeer writing as @sally-saver on the @eddie-earner account.

My focus for this year was:

• My annual HP target of 10K HP - achieved !!!
• Growing my holding of investment tokens,
• Delegating HP to a number of good community curation accounts.

This weeks pic - We had a special treat the other night and went to see the musical 'Wicked', at the playhouse in Edinburgh. Its a belter of a musical. Its the third time we've been to see it and its my fav show so far. And even seeing it for the third time, it was still as amazing as the first time we saw it. We loved the show, and also how they turned the outside of the theatre green to match !

Weekly commentary

• Its my last post of 2023 - and what a year its been. I've added 7512 HP this year, which I'm very happy about. I've also set out my targets for 2024 (full post here):
  • To increase my HP by 7500, to 18500 HP,
  • To increase my HP delegation to @eds-vote by 1000 HP, to 3000 HP.
• I gained +177 HP, which is a very nice gain for my last week of 2023. I nearly hit the 11k HP mark in the end, with 10981 HP, just 19 short. I'm very happy with this and it sets me up nicely for 2024,
• I delegated another +76 HP to @ocdb to bring that total to 235 HP, and I will delegate the remaining 15 needed to hit the 250 target after this post goes out. I'll then start on delegating to @curangel in order to bring that delegation total up to 250 over the coming weeks,
• I gained +2.23 EDS. My 2019 HP delegation to @eds-vote brought in +1.69 EDS this week and the rest was from the mining lottery for holding EDSMMs (I have 121 of those now). My year end total now stands at 96.98, so was only 3.02 short of my year end target of 100 - but thats ok, I will finally break the 100 mark by the second monday of 2024. As per above, I will be increasing my delegation to EDS in 2024, as I'm keen to stack even more EDS and increasing my delegation to @eds-vote works well for me, so I'm looking forward to seeing increased EDS rewards from that over the course of 2024,
• I gained +2.288 DAB this week, which is again a little above average in terms of weekly gains, which is nice,
• I gained +2 DBOND taking my total to 717. I'll be interested to see what is coming from the DAB/DBOND project in 2024, and will more than likely invest further into it - I like the synergy between the two tokens and how the continue to add up all by themselves,
• I gained +3.422 DRIP this week, which was a combination of passive gains from just holding and staking what I have, and buying a small amount from the market with some spare swap.hive I had. My total now stands at 100.629 - so I've managed to scrap past the 100 mark just before year end, which is great,
• I had 6 HBD:HIVE trades go through for a total profit of around 6 HIVE this week. Small beer again, but it all adds up and with every trade, my trading pot grows bigger, so its all good and going in the right direction.

Plan for the coming week

• To continue to make sure I post daily/regularly to ensure daily HBD and HIVE author rewards,
• To be active in HIVE Blog curation to help with HIVE curation rewards,
• To continue to increase undelegated HIVE in order to improve HIVE curation rewards,
• To continue with HBD:HIVE trading. I'll also be adding some additional funds (in small amounts) to my trading capital each week, in the active trading range, which will help grow the gains over the long term (albeit slowly),
• This weeks delegation of 15% of my weekly HP income (27 HP) will be going to @ocdb to complete the 250 target, and then @curangel, as part of my project to support community curation accounts via HP delegation,
• From next week, I will also be starting to increase my delegation to @eds-vote as per my secondary goal for 2024.

In summary, I have managed to end the last week of 2023 on a high. I'm very happy with my weekly gains, and my annual gains overall. I'm really looking forward to 2024 and the opportunities that will bring. It will be interesting to see if we do finally enter a bull market and if we do, how it will affect HIVE.

My Tribe Token Investment Project

My experiment with 8 different tribe tokens on my alt account @hoosieboy is moving along nicely. The experiment is designed to grow semi-passively via staking, curation, posting and rebalancing - in a way where the methods should work together and add constructively. Everything gets re-invested back into curation accounts for the same 8 tribe tokens, so it also provides a positive boost to those tribes.

I'll undertake my next rebalance tomorrow morning if I can get the time. The project is working nicely, although values are still low at the moment, however they should build up over time. Its great to see the various methods of curation, posting, staking and rebalancing all working in tandem. You can check out my latest rebalance post on my @hoosieboy alt account here.
