Wednesday Walk - around the park just before sunset

My wife and I went for a walk around our local park just before sunset last night.

Although its been getting colder here in Scotland, it was quite a nice evening. We drove down to a local park near us and started out near the duck pond which we walked around.

I quite liked the atmospherics in the sky above the pond, and there was nearly some sunset colour threatening to show. I normally take way more pics when we are out on our walks - but I only managed 5 last night - so it'll be a shorter post than usual !

From the pond we made our way up to one of the other garden areas in the park past this lovely old sun dial. Its around 120+ years old dating from the Victorian times. The funny thing is that in Scotland is useless for many months of the year because we dont get a lot of sunshine and it is very often over cast !

Its actually quite a big park, so by the time we had walked around the far football fields, we were starting to clock up 30 mins of walking time which was quite good. It was an odd night as the sky was half clear and half foreboding. We had clear skies on one side and dark clouds on the other.

As it was looking like it might rain, we went back around the pond aiming for the car. About 20 meters from the car it started to rain - so we'd timed it just right, and dint get wet.

We really enjoyed getting out for some exercise after a busy day at work ! Sorry I didnt take more pics.

Those are definitely some ominous looking clouds! I think a lot of people use sundials more for decoration than the actual utility. I mean, how old is the oldest clock? Probably older than 120 years I am guessing. I could be wrong though... It's happened once before :)

It was a nice walk. It was one of those long days where we could easily have decided to not bother going, and then were glad when we had !
