We Are Alive! January 7th, 2024 Furnace Duct Treasures

When my boy lost his car down the furnace register, I opened it up to recover his toy. Along with his car, I found all sorts of other interesting toys and items. Made me wonder, what else might be in the registers?

I was surprised by how much was stuck in the duct, hardly any air could pass by!

I cleared all the items and brought them to the sink to sort and clean them up.

My boy was excited to see train cars! They looked almost like new!

Some items we washed up and put away, others we threw away in the garbage.

When I was a kid I found some old black and white photos in my grandparent's trunk. Nice so see how they lived back in the days. My great great grandpa was riding a horse like a cowboy 😀

We have furnace registers all around the house and things tend to fall down them and collect over the years. This is over 10 years worth of stuff. Not too bad for 10 years. !BBH

This unexpected discovery of diverse toys must have made your son joyous. He now has more toys to play with, especially the train car for which he's much delighted. All thanks to his toy falling down the furnace register. Thanks for writing. Happy New year.

Oh nice bro your post took me in my childhood. I still remember I used to play with so many toys like cars, balls etc .....
The toys of your boy should be preserved .. Great post.

It's amazing how many little treasures can hide away in places like that.
I've never found a treasure trove quite like that, but it does make me curious about what might be hiding in my own house.

That's pretty exciting discovery! We often find things under bed (not moved in months) which were presumed to be lost!

What's a register as such ? I have so many questions haha

Like how did he even manage to drop something in there . . . How did so many toys get there :D
But on the other hand it's kind of cool to find old stuff like that, gives nostalgia and excitement.
