WOO Land Strategy Series: The Sleepy 1-1-2 ⭐

This series of posts aims to cover simple strategies for each WOOPARTSUN land combo (27 in total). The series was inspired by and incentivized by @wrestorgonline's Zealy system (formerly Crew3), which you can join using Discord or Metamask here.
 

Land 1-1-2: The sleepy town


 

🤼 Overview, odds & stats

Pretty solid "meh" when you see a 4-star. But their single 2-star stat can be leveraged. Your odds of pulling any 4-star are 15% or about 1 in 7. There are three 4-star combos, so this exact NFT's odds are roughly 1 in 21.

🤔 Interpretation

Is this much better than the bottom barrel 1-1-1 land?

Kinda, yeah. See, 2-stars in population gives a 10x boost to that stat. Meaning 10x the number of Fans, People, and Avg Base Demand. But since Wealth is still at 10, each 'citizen' has 10x less to spend at shows hosted here.

While this effectively neutralizes the baseline gain re: show revenue, don't forget that many stats will be able to be upgraded. Anything that impacts Population will have that 10x multiplier involved. Low Wealth will still limit the buildings you can buy, so careful tactics will be needed.

General note: Higher Population also should result in more consistent average show attendance composition (ratio of Fans:People). This is because there are presumably more "rolls" when the RNG does its thing—more rolls = closer you get to expected values.

 

🕹️ Strategies

1️⃣ Use it to capture long tail. Similar to the 1-1-1 land, it stands to reason that there may be situations where the "good" land isn't available for in-game shows or is exhausted or inaccessible for some reason. The Population increase for 1-1-2 means you should be able to cater to thousands of attendees instead of hundreds, making this NFT more suited to this approach. The "slum lord" strategy may emerge, where cheap land could produce value on the quantity-over-quality angle. It works IRL, so it'll be interesting to see if WOO meta also creates a viable path here.

2️⃣ Sell it. Let's face it, most land owners will want more than 4 stars to work with. The current floor is 18 HBD, but who knows what'll happen once the WOO game launches. Interesting to note: at the time of writing, that extra star is valued at an extra $8. Doubtful that that figure will hold as the market matures... but will it go up or down? 🎱

3️⃣ Farm freelance wrestlers. There's been mention of a mechanic where you can earn wrestler NFTs from the game. It involves building a Training Center and upgrading a Scout stat. Strong Fan stats (i.e. 3 stars) are best for this, but depending on how it ends up working there could be a strategy that leverages a bunch of "bad" land to collect many NFTs.

 

🏝️ Land characterization

This feels like a town or smattering of villages close to the middle of nowhere. People clearly live in the area but their economy is sluggish and no one's motivated to change that. It's quiet and the population is aging.

WOO skews a normal distribution to make high-stat land harder to pull (makes sense, right?) The most common pull is a 6-star land, with 7 different ways the stars could be configured.
