RE: Brimstone Butterfly hatching from Chrysalis

I used to spend many happy hours finding chrysalises when I was a child. The garden shed used to be a favourite place to find them. My dad used to grow cabbages and other brassicas, which attracted butterflies to lay their eggs. The Cabbage White butterfly a particular visitor and often ate more of the plants than we did! But I still loved finding their chrysalises. A particular joy was when I saw one hatching out. Your post reminded me of this.

Glad I could trigger some happy memories. Who knows, maybe in a few decades my son will have a similar moment. 😄
I hope so.
