Tema de esta semana: Rendirse

Que buen tema el de esta semana, porque rendirse suele ser visto con un poco de desdén muchas veces, y en mi rol de abogada de causas perdidas intentaré verlo desde una perspectiva diferente.

Rendirse puede verse como un signo de debilidad, y según las circunstancias podría serlo. Pero no siempre el persistir en algo, significa que lo logremos, entonces rendirse es válido.

¿Te has rendido alguna vez en tu vida?

En muchas ocasiones de mi vida me he rendido, porque lo que buscaba es algo que no se puede conseguir en un país como el mío, y es que la Justicia es una Utopía aquí, y por mucho que se intente, no se logra, ya que el sistema judicial está totalmente corrompido.

¿Es cierto que la gente se rinde cuando el éxito está muy cerca?

Yo creo que la gente se rinde cuando siente en su corazón que ya no hay esperanzas. Por lo general nadie se rinde cuando sabe que la meta es posible de alcanzar, y muchas veces la perseverancia es solo obstinación y no sos da buenos resultados.

¿Cómo sabes cuándo seguir intentando o cuándo es momento de rendirte?

Esa es una respuesta que sólo se conoce llegado el momento. Se siente o se percibe cuando un objetivo se persigue en vano, tal vez sea la razón, o una excusa, puede ser llamada de muchas formas, pero solamente cada uno sabe cuándo está a punto de lograr su cometido y cuando es momento de soltarlo y avanzar en otra dirección.

I have given up many times in my life, because what I was striving for is something unattainable in a country like mine—justice is a utopia here. No matter how hard one tries, it cannot be achieved because the judicial system is entirely corrupt.

I believe people give up when they feel in their hearts that hope is gone. Generally, no one gives up when they know their goal is within reach, and often, perseverance is just obstinacy that doesn’t yield good results.

How do you know when to keep trying and when it’s time to give up?

That’s a question that can only be answered when the moment arrives. You feel it, or you sense when a goal is being pursued in vain. It might be reason or an excuse—it can be called many things—but only each individual truly knows when they are about to achieve their goal and when it’s time to let go and move in another direction.
