This was definitely a year of ups and downs for me (maybe my life is like the crypto market and its fluctuations haha). However, overall it was positive, my personal life had great moments and some satisfying achievements, but right now it’s a bit melancholic. Here on Hive, I say the same, at times I felt a bit discouraged and disappointed, but at other moments it brought me joy. Well, it was a good year, but I hope next year is even better!

You need to build a big liquidity pool to give stability to your life 😂. Just jocking :-). It often feels like that. It's important to enjoy the positive and go through the negative.

That was a good one haha, it actually makes some sense! But that’s life, ups and downs, and that’s okay!

Ups and Downs will always happens what you can do is change the way you interact with them.

How was your 2024?

Generally, 2024 was my best year in over a decade. I'm still adjusting to significant life changes. But I'm hoping that this is the start of year-on-year improvement.

What were your experiences?

Most significantly, I retired. Which gave me time to investigate and enjoy local attractions. Especially as retirement brings a free bus pass for UK residents.

What did you learn?

  • West Yorkshire has a surprising amount of free attractions. And bus travel is fine when you have no deadlines.
  • Life turns the circle in retirement. So playtime has become my most important part of life. Just as it is for my young grandsons.

What were the good things?

  • More income due to my state pension. Giving me more opportunities for local exploring and playing out with friends old and new.
  • Better enjoyment of Hive due to my focus on curation rather than new posts.

What were the bad ones?

There's a traditional English proverb, "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy". Whereas, I found that, "All play and no work makes Keith a poorly boy". Because, I neglected to recognise that I still need to work on basic health needs. Even though that's not my usual view of "work". So I'm focusing on daily routines for maintaining my physical and mental health. Incorporating them with playtime whenever I can.

It's great to hear such things and to see you enjoying your retirement.

About 35 years ago, I spent some time not far from where you live in the lake district. I was hiking from one village to the next and sleeping in youth hostels. This was pretty memorable. Have you visited the place?

Oh yes! I have many happy memories of the Lake District. Thanks to you, my next trip is now in the planning stage. Probably Derwent Water. But who knows?

Overall, I'll say that 2024 has been very good to me financially and career wise.

Health and fitness has unfortunately taken a slight backseat due to the increased workload but I'm not near critical levels, just no longer in "Full Marathon Shape". 🤣

My only regret? Not going even harder into BTC, mostly because I didn't expect the bull market to arrive again so quickly!

It's always very tricky to get the wagon on time especially on the markets. It was difficult to see the bull coming this time especially since we were so long in bear territory and didn't believe that things would change :-)

I am very glad 2024 is over. It was a presidential election year in the USA. Everywhere were political ads belittling and throwing mud at their opponents. It was very saddening that people could fall so low. That aspect of the year was very disappointing.

Now with all or most of the negativity over I can focus on more positive things. I look forward to 2025 and all that it holds in store for us.

I think for people out of the USA it's difficult to understand how politics work there. As far as I got it, it can be very low level... I'm happy we are not there yet where I'm from :-)

It's been generally good. Although there had been scares of life and health challenges in the fam with both my parents going back and forth in hospitals. Learning mom has cancer has been the toughest.

We relocated to another town in July and we are still adjusting. Although we have our 2 old places so we can go back to them any time we want.

2024 taught me to be mentally tough no matter what life throws at me.

Hahaha I just wrote a post on this! Lol!

2024 was good/okay for me, I count my blessings. I learnt a lot about the financial markets, more about cryptos as well. Lots of good stuffs, cryptos are up, markets are up, even my Hive wallet! No bad stuff - I don't spend much time dwelling on the negatives.

A decent year i guess. Personal front, out of job. Still hunting though. No regrets, i am sure 2025 will be my turnaround.

Crypto front was good. Have been accumulating Hive and hive engine tokens and few others.

Trying few more different things, none has clicked yet.

My answers:
How was your 2024? Ending one more year is always good news and a reason to celebrate that I'm still here.
What were your experiences? I think I had good experiences in general. I learned lots of new things and improved my skills.
What did you learn? I can’t remember exactly…
What were the good things? To achieve my Hive goals twice, hehe. And becoming part of the Liotes Ourpick curator’s team.
What were the bad ones? My best friend, my puppy Rocky, passed away and I miss him every single day.

I wish you all the best for next year, Liotes fam!

It's good to see videos again! The year ended well since my employer finally announced a salary raise! That is good!
I think everything went this year through a computer script, mostly, lol. But it was nice to see my kids growing, as always. I can't remember any bad things that happened right now, so they were probably all overcome somehow!

It's been a bit of a rough year health wise, it seems that I'm no longer quite as immortal as I believed I was way back when I was 21! I'm watching my diet more carefully and being careful with my health.

It's not been too bad financially, BTC has helped out quite a bit there. Hive is of course lagging behind but I have my fingers crossed! I hope your year has been a good one!

I will turn 50 in a year and I see that age has an impact on my health as well. I try to be more active and keep a healthy lifestyle :-).

I'm three years older than you are. Fifty is just a number, but I have noticed changes from when I was in my 40's, keeping active is paramount! It's really a time of life that if you don't use it, you will lose it!

2024 was a bloody hell in general... The good part is that I am still alive now.

I have too many problems, obstacles, burdens and many more although I never say any about most of them.

Right now I prefer to forget this year and prepare for 2025, because there is no guarantee that next year will be easier than this year.

Well, studies can be quite intensive and it's also important to put the focus on them and not get sidetracked too much on other things.

Considering that I did not set any specific goals and had no expectations, this year has gone very well, even excellently. My crypto portfolio has increased in value, and I don't think it will decline. I even went to Hive Fest, where I met many people in person. I tried to post daily (not very well) on the Hive and increased my Hive Power by a few thousand HP.
I can't be dissatisfied. 😎

2024 was quite an eventful year.
There were definitely highs and lows, but overall, it was a year of growth.
I learned a lot about myself and what truly matters.
The good moments were filled with joy, meaningful connections, and some exciting achievements.
On the flip side, there were challenges that tested my patience and resilience, but they also taught me valuable lessons.

My 2024 is kind of awful but good in the same way. However, people always say that it's not a good idea to learn the hard way. Sometimes, learning the hard way is much faster than learning slowly and being afraid of losing anything. Learning it the hard way makes us find the wall faster and less regretfully tho it's a mental challenge truthfully. It's a good thing and a bad thing simultaneously. !LOL

In a couple of years when you look back, you will realise that you have made a huge step forward by learning what you did the hard way. It hurts now probably but the experience will enrich your future I hope :-)

It's been a year of many victories here at hive, but on the outside there have been complicated moments, such as the loss of my aunt in October and the constant squeeze every month. Overall, I've learned a lot about investments, real estate funds, opportunities to earn dividends with tokens and airdrops. I think in the end it was a positive balance for my learning.

2024 has not been a great year. Work wise it has been fine, but in terms of personal life there's been deaths and serious illnesses in the family that have really made things really tough. It's nice that crypto is looking bullish again, but money doesn't really matter in the end.

2024 has been a hectic year and I haven't had as much time as I would like on Hive. I do think that I did quite well though as I was able to reach all of my goals for the year. I felt happy that I reached my goals but the lack of time was a bit disappointing to me.

2024 was a year of gratitude, despite great challenges and difficulties. For this reason, I was very inactive in the hive for a few months. But I'm back in 2025 with everything. It was a year of many personal victories. I set some personal goals and went beyond them!

I think my greatest achievement was professional advancement and taking better care of my health. But since not everything is perfect, I lost several people who really mattered to me. We all know that no one lives forever, but losing people close to you due to accidents/illness is a very bad thing.

This has been a complicated year. Although maybe it didn't show, my crypto investments and focus has often taken a back seat this year to issues in real life. Although I'm hoping for a better year from this point of view, I don't think things will improve much since both my parents are getting older and having various health issues and needing more and more help.

So far 2024 has been great in some part, like hitting my Hp goal, and some improvement on my real life side. the bad one is that my health problem might hinder me from continuing my work, and then I might have to switch to working online fulltime in case the worst case happening. Myabe being an airdropper, who knows I can be as lucky as Achim and get the Forth airdrop by holding a little bit of Ample ahahah

Joke aside, things might get worse, but I sitll have hope.

Overall it was a good year! I returned to my studies three years after graduating. I'm scared, because the master's is quite heavy. Maybe in 2025 you'll see less of me here.

Things have been good here at Hive, as I've started to be more consistent in my posts this year and I'm also reaping the rewards of this behavior. I've almost reached my goal of 7K HP.

I lost an uncle and an aunt this year alone. But overall it's been a good and fruitful year!

Another year ending means I learned something new to bring to the next one. I've Learned about the importance of exploring everything. It's not like you'll be in every project or know everything full but you need to at least know what that's about. An example was Liotes I saw some friends in it, asked about it, explored some posts and videos about it then I tried to delegate a little, have some LENM, LEN and participate more to see what would happen. Now I know a lot more about the project, but there is always more to learn in everything! :D

"Search wisdom and knowledge the same way you would search for silver ou kidden treasures"! That's whay I'm trying to do in Crypto. Trying to learn and explore more :)

How was your 2024? What were your experiences? What did you learn? What were the good things? What were the bad ones?

It's been quite a year for me. This year I learned the importance of maintaining communication with people. Reflecting on the year, I realized that there have been missed opportunities because I have not been maintaining conversations with people I know in real life. Meeting with people, having lunch with people, networking. That's my goal for 2025 is to do better at maintaining conversations with people I've met, friends and acquaintances. !BBH

My 2024 is busy for me it started with that I changed my place of work to another one company. So I was need to know better entire processes here.
Also my 2024 was reach enough for harvest in my garden there were a lot of berries and vegetables.
So I had a little time to rest... Also I couldn't visit HF(( hope in next year it'll be possible! 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
As so as I was very busy I couldn't to post as regular as I wish on hive. As a result I won't reach my goal in 5000 hp till the end of this year. But I have a lot about what I want to write here! In next year I think it'll be also intensive enough. And at the second quarter I need to rebuild my garden house.
About bad things I don't want to mention let's let them stay in the past...
