I don't think I have a specific one because I've learned everything from others. My knowledge of Hive includes everything I've learned from Hivers + My experience as a businessman to strategize it.

There is no end to learning. However, specific knowledge allows us to stand out while transmit it to others :-)

This is such a great question!
And I am going to answer with some word from the Little Prince

"Here is my secret. It is very simple: One sees clearly only with the heart. Anything essential is invisible to the eyes."

Hive is my rose.

[...] and it is more important than all the hundreds of other roses: because it is she that I have watered; because it is she that I have put under the glass globe; because it is she that I have sheltered behind the screen; because it is for her that I have killed the caterpillars (except the two or three that we saved to become butterflies). Because it is she that I have listened to, when she grumbled, or boasted, or even sometimes when she said nothing. Because she is my rose.

This is a beautiful theme for a whole post and I may just steal your idea :)

I am not a reference when it comes to HIVE. I have learned a lot from my colleagues and I see myself at a basic level, far from me wanting to teach anyone.

I have a recommendation that may help someone: Recommend the use of curation trails, even with a high VP cut (90%??) so that it is never activated if the user remains active in HIVE. The trail would only be activated in case of user abandonment, such as an accident that leaves the person hospitalized for many days, or worse.

This is a very good point and I encourage everybody to do it. This allows to avoid reaching 100% voting power where we actually miss curation rewards.

  1. Make the goal to always enjoy the time you spend on Hive.
  2. Become completely comfortable with the idea that other Hivians have a different view of Hive, different goals, and different opinions.

Living and tolerating diversity is a very good way to enjoy hive at it's best!

Hmm... secret #Hive knowledge. That's a tough one. I'm writing a post about Hive income tokens, which I consider a smart strategy. I also like income-producing delegations like @curangel and @ocdb. And I did a little deep dive into Hive NFT options, an obscure little corner of our ecosystem. 🤔

But none of these are hidden or secret. Just being here seems like a bit of secret sauce in itself. !LOL

I haven't helped or answered the question, I realize... my official response, I guess, would have to be: no, I have no secret Hive knowledge. But I appreciate the conversation this provokes! 👏

Everything that you mentioned is a knowledge that not everybody shares. Whatever you can bring to the table is a kind of added value to others :-)

A secret knowledge? Hm... I can't say lol

Jokes aside, I believe the real secret here, which few people know, is to truly enjoy this platform as a social network and make meaningful connections. There are so many incredible people here, different perspectives, knowledge... The secret is for people to simply make the most of it!

Maybe liquidity pools on Hive-engine. People don't know about their potential.

Few people actually know about that. Good point!

It's meant to be a secret so it's not supposed to be shared. HAHAHA. Just kidding.

My personal secret is 50/50 for post rewards is always better in my view. HBD at 15% APR is actually significant. Let the compounding do its job.

I also set my post rewards to 50/50. This gives an additional flexibility. You can still swap HBD and power up or put it into savings...

I definitely don't think there's a secret, but what I'm trying to do is participate a little more actively in the communities.

Being active in communities is also a kind of secret knowledge ;-)

hmmm if I let other know, it won't be a secret anymore, but let me share my knowledge that most noobs don't know.

your post rewards is not representing the quality or the originality of your post. Most of the time is about who writes it, whom he/she is, how good and how close the author with curators and whales. Sometime it's just a pure luck

It was interesting last week when we asked what was people's favorite post that they created. A lot of people mentioned the post that got the biggest payout and this is not necessary correlated. Quality and originality of a post is not really represented by the rewards. I believe the rewards are more linked to when and where you post...

0

0.000
avatar

And to make it more sad, people upvoting whale and orcas in hope they will vote them back, and those big guys think they are hot shot and have better quality posts LOL

I think the biggest secret is that people don't value engagement, the people who are starting out here. They always aim too high, with some whale and everything, but the right thing is to make lots of friends, to be close to the little ones who are committed to climbing inside the hive.

0

avatar

Especially new users don't understand that engagement is the secret sauce that allows to build relationship and in the long term draw value to their activity...

0
0
0.000
avatar

Exactly, people just target hive giants and try to get attention and well, that doesn't always work out so well

0

avatar

I am not sure it is a secret but if creators build their projects and communities for the benefit of people by incentivising the activity, involving the members more they may find their communities grow.

It is important to remember we are dealing with people not profiles.

Equally it is important for members to step up if they see their communities struggling.

Oh yeah and CLABORATION between communities and projects is a must.
Teamwork makes the dreamwork and all that 😉

But you know this 🤣
@liotes so probably not a secret Shh 😉

What knowledge do you have about hive, the hive ecosystem, hive-engine, front-ends, content creation,... that you believe only few people know about?

Many new HIVE bloggers do not know about HP delegation opportunities and auto curation tools. Both of these give users the ability blog and comment organically, without being profit motivated as that is handled on the "back-end". Active community, passive income.

My secret Hive knowledge is that unlike most of the shiny things in crypto right now, Hive is dependable and to be strongly considered for a long term journey in crypto. Of course, most Hivers know that already, but for outsiders this may be a well-kept secret. 😄

I totally agree with that. For me it's the backbone of my crypto journey...

Ooooh very nice one! I will say that Hive (at least blogging, which is what I do) is therapy, once you get started you are rebuilding yourself and growing a lot as a person. I'm not hyped, it's good therapy, when I spend time away from here, I feel like I'm missing my safe space.

Aha, we are going to be reading secrets through this mission, hehe!

I wracked my brain for a secret about Hive ecosystem or everything else but it gave me none, maybe because I'm still learning every day.😊

Although I wonder if it is not known to many that we can lease HP through the Hive Engine (Truth is, I just discovered about it 2 months ago or so, lol😅)

Very good point. I think you can even lease RC and BEE tokens there.

I won't say it is a secret but not everyone follows it. Consistency and diversify with intention. These two together can really make a big difference in progress on the Hive platform. I learned these from others so they are a big secret but most find it hard to do both.

These are two very important secrets :-)

Without a shadow of a doubt, that was the most difficult question I've seen around here! I don't have any Hive secrets that can add value to other colleagues, but what I do know I've learned from observing friends and colleagues here at Hive. Hive has a lot of potential, but many people don't make the most of it. The biggest secret to doing well on Hive is to be engaged with many other users.

The biggest secret to doing well on Hive is to be engaged with many other users.

This is the real gold nugget. I would even say that without engagement there is no way that somebody can evolve on hive.

I think it's the fact that content creation isn't the only way to make profits here on Hive. There are games, diesel pools and other various ways to earn crypto. You don't have to force yourself to do what you don't like to do. It's a long marathon and not a sprint.

A lot of people on hive don't even know about these other sectors of activity. Good point!

My little secret: while playing Hive on Brave, I’ve successfully blocked 266,025 ads and trackers, saved 12.38 GB of bandwidth, and rescued 3.7 hours of my life from watching ads. That’s enough time for binge-watching a drama or playing more Splinterlands, right? 😄 He-he, being an anti-ads warrior is pretty fun! 🎮

The secret hive knowledge... is like the one piece, the friends we make during the path. Talk about what you enjoy and with the people that also likes that, for that take a look at the COMMUNITIES page and favorite the ones you like.

I don't have any secret knowledge because I don't spend much time here to be honest. But I am pleasantly surprised that my HIVE increases even without doing much. That might be news to some others out there who are like me too? :)

I think I should read the comments to know some secrets !LOL I really can't think of any right now. It's no secret but I believe being part of a good community is a good way to enjoy being on Hive. Thank you for this question. I !HOPE you'll share your answers too.
