A splinterlands bargain.

It looks like a bargain to me anyway.

I was doing a little shopping on splinterlands with the recent surge in $SPS price. Just in case the pump doesn't last after the next card edition i said that i would pick up a few new cards for survival mode.

Mainly looking for summoners but the base price for all of these has risen swiftly since survival mode began and people realized how important they were going to be to their future earnings.

I picked up Quix first.

A card that has hurt me many times from the opposition bench.

Then spotted Fernheart.

Handy for scattershot battles.

Then I spotted Warrior of peace.

400 cards at 0.25c each. It was the third lowest Untamed card for sale at $10 and the cheapest card that i didn't already have. Looking at the markets now the cheapest max version is $68

A bit of a false flag however as you can still buy singles at 3-4c but if you clear the market it will still only give you 138 bxc for $10 and no more for sale.

With the weapons training ability, especially Avis Sturgis the card is a lot more useful in battles and in Survival mode. Either way it looks like a bargain for my deck with a solid card at a cheap price and one that adds a lot of variety to my deck.

Weapons training is an interesting one as I don't come across it too much in general play but in survival mode it's a great way to bring some unloved cards into play. Lots of us have zero ability cards in the deck that don't get much play but now when you're trying to stretch your deck as far as possible, weapons training makes them useful again and can cause a lot of damage if used correctly.

Some of the older cards have great stats to make up for their lack of attacking ability but now that we can add some attack as well the become very powerful to play with.
There are a few more cards that i have my eye on but it will take a lot more $SPS or a much bigger pump to bring them into reach.

It is nice to keep building the deck and to be able to add some varied cards to my armory going forward. I've lost interest in land the way that it has gone lately but survival is very addictive so that is where my focus will be going for the next while.
