If you can't post, comment.

Posting is great and we all love to get our articles out on the daily to get those sweet rewards but it's not always easy.

Writing takes time and effort.
Inspiration and patience.

Great when you you can do it but a pain in the head when your struggling for any of the above. I can't tell how many evening's I've sat here trying to find inspiration from any source to get my hands moving on the keyboard.

You can write about anything but somedays it just won't translate from head to page. Those days when you do have the time to even try.

So instead of sitting there for 30 minutes struggling I've gotten back into commenting on posts and threads a bit more. Then I noticed that snaps on peakd have an additional reward system with tips from the team for good comments.

I wish that this was here when i first started blogging on Hive. Back in the old days you only got rewards for full posts and it took a lot of time to even get noticed in the middle of a bull run with some authors making hundreds a day from posting. Newbies got nowhere as there was just one main feed for everything to get posted and being seen was next to impossible.

Even then the idea was to comment on whale posts to get noticed and hope that you can get a few follows that would translate to votes on your posts.

Not that much has changed since but it is much easier to be seen now through the various feeds and easier to earn with second layer tokens and other rewards.

Trying to push twitter again.

I took this on a few months ago with my premium account but i would love to get my twitter account monetized. I was going well but then life got in the way.

Now I have to try and build to 5m impressions all over again through commenting on larger accounts and getting noticed.

I don't want to be a troll but the easiest way to get impressions is to comment something that people can't help but reply to. Mainly I just say that the Trump plan is working and let it go from there but i do try to engage properly on sports posts and other viral videos.

Since starting again this week and without putting too much time into the project for now I have gotten back on track for the 5M impressions while growing my account.

Four or five well placed comments a day have paid dividends here and if i can keep it up for a few weeks we will break the million. The more that you comment here the better as big posts will continue to draw impressions for days to come.

The minimum reward on HIVE is $0.02. When I was a newbie, I rarely received rewards for my posts or comments.

I finally broke down and bought 3000 HP. I can now scrub the dust for my posts and reward people who comment.

I really like the comment tokens like BEER and WINE. As I recall one needs a case of BEER and 25 WINE. As I understand, newbies can issue a HUG a day and an HBIT for replies to their posts. These tokens aren't worth much.

Leaving handwritten comments adorned with comment tokens often makes people feel good about their blogging even when they have a plankton account.

I love the people who comment.
I bought some of my hive but also spent a lot of time building up my stack through effort.

Unfortunately I don't have the same time for browsing content and commenting that i used to so the best way to find interesting new users are the ones who comment on my posts and engage to be seen better.

A good comment is far more valuable to a new user than a poor post.

Commenting is one easy way of getting engaged when it seems you are out of writing. As you said, those small rewards too are encouraging

We cannot always hit the eureka when it comes to content creating. So sometimes we create stuffs and they don't look as good, some other days they come out really good. Personally, I enjoy commenting and earning extra incentives for them, especially when you consider the POV of a newbie as you've mentioned

I think commenting is also a great way to engage and learn, while also building or maintaining relationships. I feel posting is a bit one sided or formal.

It certainly is a different ecosystem from when we joined (I, a little later than you), with more options now compared to then.

Regarding creating content, while posting may sometimes lead to blockages (there are more ways now to find inspiration), commenting doesn't really need much inspiration. Only paying attention to what you read and finding something to comment about, which is generally easier than writing your own post.

Now I have to try and build to 5m impressions all over again

That's probably not fun. Without being over that threshold for a long period of time, I see it like a constant struggle. Hope you make it!
