Our basil (no greenhouse) also grows like weed - we love it! We make pesto every week at least once and use it on pasta, pizza and everything in between. Drying it is a good idea, we use a lot of it so maybe I'll do that, too. But in a microwave? I've never heard that. Good job!

Thank you ! It seemed to work, and was quick enough that as long as it doesn't burn it should keep most of the flavour and nutrients in. This year is experimental - picking a few things we use lots of, seeing how long what we grow lasts, and then working out how much we'd need to grow (and how to preserve it) so that one plant at a time we become totally self-sufficient.
