Did you know that Nicky Jam (Nick Rivera Caminero) is a composer of several hits? Probably not. Because many people only know him as one of the most popular reggaeton singers. But there is more to this artist than meets the eye. You may have heard Nikki's famous song "El Perdón" featuring Spanish idol Enrique Iglesias. There is a great story behind this single. As you may remember, Jem's career fizzled due to drug and alcohol abuse in the 2000s. Since then, he has built a promising future with Daddy Yankee. Both turned out to be great pioneers of this genre, but the life of the translator "Khasta el Tan" went differently.

But this was not the end of his career. “I stopped making music four years ago and no one cared about me. I felt embarrassed. Enrique read my story and wanted to do something with me. Because once a reggaeton player leaves, he never comes back. He approached me and we talked about music and strategy for five hours. Nikki admitted, "I made a promise to God that he wouldn't do drugs or alcohol, and He paid me back."

El Perdón was number one for a total of 30 weeks, followed only by Iglesias with Bailando. The hit debuted at number 50 on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs on February 21, 2015 and reached number 1 on March 21 of the same year.

Even Enrique Iglesias admitted that this song has magic. "It's a great story about Nicki. I researched everything about her and compared their careers. She makes the same music as me and she has all the problems. I called her and she sent me this song and I thought it was amazing. "I always write or co-write songs, But I don't care if I don't."

Nikki returned to the music world at age 35 and is now open.
