Pepe Community Update 🐸 and BLOG Token Proposal
Happy Monday, Pepe Community 🐸. It's a great day to be alive, and life is a beautiful and fun experience, and I am excited to be part of this growing and thriving community.
I want to give a shout-out to @definethedollar @flaxz @pepetoken @offgridlife and everyone who has helped this account and the Pepe Community grow.
The BLOG Token Proposal 📯
There are a number of tokens on Hive Engine that I am passionate about that I am integrating into the Pepe Community. I discovered the token BLOG and bought around 500k tokens this weekend.
My proposal is to have the Pepe Community purchase BLOG tokens from Hive Engine, power them up and use the #pepe and #blog tags on quality posts. This is a great opportunity, and I commit to purchasing one million BLOG tokens by the end of this week.

Well, hrm. Maybe you know something I don't? I got super excited about BLOG token when it first came out and I bought a ton for @solairitas, but as far as I know nothing has ever come of it. 😭
For my part, I'd suggest PIMP (and/or THGAMING) as these are tribe tokens with staking and liquidity pools and all...plus, hold enough PIMP and it pays H-E tokens every day, not to mention the bot call...

Thanks man! Appreciate the background. I see tons of tokens on Hive Engine and research them, but background information from primary sources is important.
I was just thinking the same, never seen BLOG do anything, SLOTHBUZZ on the other hand! Now that's a token we can get behind! (PS if you have some PIMP in the pimp:s.hive liq pool, you'll earn some slothbuzz too!)

I have a large stake of BLOG token. To be honest though, I am not really a fan of BLOG token. I was at first back at the beginning of 2021:

But then the BLOG issuer account started doing things that didn't seem quite right like this:

The @blogtoken account really wasn't interactive with the Hive community, the frontend blogtoken.io is defunct, and the @blogtoken account has drained its HIVE. I'd give a pass to @dunksocial because of the explanation post why the tribe was abandoned. At least there was transparency with DUNK. I'd include @blogtoken with @hypnochain as accounts that created tribes more to enrich the tribe owners than to promote the utility of Hive and add value to the community.
I also don't like the fact that @imagenius.dac owns roughly three quarters of the total BLOG supply. I am not saying that is a sin. I will say that in my opinion looking at the timeline and how @imagenius.dac got all that BLOG from @blogtoken is too funky to pass the smell test. It's also, in my opinion, currently way too centeralized based on the richlist for what a Hive-Engine token should be.
TL;DR. Acquire more BLOG if you want. In my view putting all that effort into such a centralized token will benefit @imagenius.dac far more than you. Full disclosure: If the price of BLOG ever gets to 0.0001 HIVE I will most likely start unstaking my share of BLOG and sell it off.
Well said! BLOG tokens are pretty much a waste of time, and yes they belong right up there with LASSECASH, HYPNO and pretty much anything that Mykos dude throws out there.
Not condemning all low value tokens... some, like PAY, are just enigmatic; others like SPORTS are just numerically overissued.
