Linconshire's Magnificent Easton Walled Garden
I often check my travel routes for places to stop and admire. It gives me breaks from driving and the chance to see places where I wouldn't usually add on my bucket list. Easton Walled Garden is a historic garden located in Lincolnshire, with beautiful flower displays, meadows, and a variety of garden areas
I discovered this place while heading towards Grantham, and stopped to touch some grass! You dive into beautiful landscapes and roads that takes you back in time from the moment you leave the motorway! The shelter of the valley brings both calm and energy! The Easton Walled Gardens are waiting!
Here's the story behind the glory! Since 2001, Ursula and Fred Cholmeley have restored this ancient garden from an overgrown wilderness to the nationally important garden it once was. Adults admission is £10, while children have to pay only £5 to enter. Under 4s go free and the admission is half price during November and December!
The restoration continues year on year with innovative new planting schemes and currently includes herbaceous borders, roses, sweet peas, spring bulbs, cutflower and vegetable gardens set off by limestone buildings and surrounded by beautiful parkland. The Courtyard Shop sells carefully chosen products and the courtyard has a good variety of plants for sale.
So there I was... ready to enjoy the sanctuary of the gardens! I checked the show and coffee room for advice and leaflets! You can treat your loved ones and book accommodation in here! Walk through meadows in bloom, and amble under ancient trees.
Highlights include Snowdrop Season, Sweet Pea Season, David Austin Roses and The White Space garden. There's something to see in each season, flowers carpets the ground, the blossom time or the sweet peas in the summer.
A symphony of colors awaits! Meadow areas increase in diversity each year, it is intended that this should be a garden that works for humans and wildlife. The gardens are an invite to lose yourself in the heady romance of hundreds of years of horticultural history.
What about a break in the heart of the nature? You can do that here, and a choice of cottages and loft apartments! I enjoyed the few hours in the garden, walking around sweet pea beds in full bloom and the buzzing sounds around the little river.
Heritage and modern arrangements of red, white and pink dazzled my senses! I've seen hellebores, crocuses, aconites, summer flowers, ancient trees and a lot of positivity. Recharged my batteries, got some treats from the shop... and left this beautiful place behind!

We quite often pass that way when heading up the A1, but have not been there. Will have to check it out some time. We usually look for National Trust places as we are members, but enjoy a nice garden and a cafe is always welcome.
