Tourist and Chamomile

In wilderness of forest, on the bank of the river,
There lived some Tourist, eked out an existence.
He had only one metal mug, but this mug was reliable,
He cooked everything in it, soup, and tea, and porridge.

Tourist always went out into nature,
He was looking for all sorts of food and brought it home.
He hung his beloved and only mug over the fire
And cooked food with onion and various other seasonings.

Once Chamomile addressed to Tourist:
"I don't want to fall into your stinking cup,
In the company of some edible garbage,
I want to live freely and grow further!"

Tourist replied: "But what can I do?
I have to cook food for myself!
Without onion is not so tasty,
And without potatoes, there will be no food at all!"

Chamomile thought about these words
And realized that Tourist was completely right.
So Chamomile immediately jumped into mug,
To cook in boiling water and please Tourist.

People ready to give their lives for someone else's whim,
For many of them this is easier than just thinking.
But what about mug, the attentive reader will ask,
Isn't it an interested party in this story?
Well, mug is fine, that's all I can say
Without giving away other people's secrets.

The original text was written by me in Russian. I haven't studied English systematically, so translation may not be ideal. The main work was done by Google Translate, I just corrected obvious absurdities, where I noticed them and where I did not confuse them with brilliant insights.
