Evening run

Hi all,

After a busy day it was time for some relaxation. While my schedule prescribed a rest or crosstraining day - I thought of doing a recovery run and enjoy the weather a bit,

The recovery run didn’t go as planned. I cane across a local legend that basicly has all strava records within 100km distance. We chatted a bit and runned together for a while.

Crazy to realize that there are so many levels in this competition. Where my goal is to break 3:22:00 next week - that guy aims to break 2:20:00 during the same marathon. Inspirational to chat and run a bit with guys like this!

My run was relatively easy while not a recovery run. But most importantly it was fun!

For the remaining days until the marathon I expect to run mostly shorter and slower pace with some accelerations in between. On sunday I can do a mid distance run (19 - 21) km. But my focus will have to start shifting towards recovery - therefore a fun run like today is a great feeling before the last taper week starts!

Runs like today also let me appreciate having a little bit nature around and just relax!
