Friday night tempo run
Hi all, welcome back to my running blog! Here I keep you up to date with my progress towards the NN Marathon Rotterdam 2025.
Today I did 14 km split in 2 rounds.
Round 1 was a short tempo run of 3km where I tried to keep a strong pace.
Fun to do a faster run and this will be something I will definitly focus on to improve after the april marathon. It felt good and feel I could had gone a bit faster and a bit longer. So fun challenge next month :)
Round 2 - was an 11 km run at marathon race pace. I feel comfortable going for 4:40 - 4:45 / km . Which would bring me to my target time,
The reduced distances during taper weeks are welcome as I did hurt my back yesterday - while I feel it should recover by itself it does hurt - especially at night laying in bed. So the extra rest is welcome at the moment :)
For the weekend I have 2 more runs scheduled . Tomorrow an easy recovery run , On Sunday I will do my last long run ( >25 km) before further reducing my milage.
