Morning run | last peak week! | 26 days to go!

Hi all,

Welcome back to my running blog! With 26 days to go until the NN Marathon Rotterdam 2025, I find myself in my third and last peak week before reducing my weekly kilometers and focus on recovery.

Today I will split the effort into two training sessions so I could do my morning run with a friend that just got back from an 8 month trip.

My morning session was an easy run where we just had fun chatting about his amazing adventures in Urganda and India and how life is on the office where we both work.

He asked me if I would want to join him in another marathon in May which does sounds tempting - but I decided to postpone the decision to after Rotterdam!

Today’s run was a walk and talk so the pace we set was light so we could just maintain a good conversation without getting out of breath.

Yesterday was the first day in weeks where I was not able to run. The day was busy with other obligations so although I felt a little uncomfortable there as my weekly goal is 90 km this week - I also feel the day off provided some rest that my body could appreciate (and maybe needed).

By doing another light run later today I will be back on this weeks schedule and feel more rested compared to run every day.

Today’s weather was simply beautiful running weather - around 5C and full of Sun.

Happy running!
