Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Brawls Are Getting Competitive!

Time flies! Just completed the 185th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

  • Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

  • Moving Back To Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I made the decision to move back to a Bronze level fray, which is where my cards are at. It proved to a good decision but I was back to winning form!

Had 5 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

  • We Got 5th!!!

So for the final result, we were 5th out of 8 guilds and got 485 Merits and around 13 SPS! A whole bag of SPS! But definitely room for improvement for the position.

Individually, I had 5 fights this time and I won 3 of them this time! Finished 5th within the guild. Due to change in format, wins are actually awarded to the players present in the fray if guilds decided to skip the fray. For this round, there were 2 additional wins for me.

Battle 1 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: None

Tricky and restrictive somewhat made both teams opt for a single card for the battle. Unfortunately, my card was no match against my opponent's Legendary card which had Life Leech. Oh well.

Battle 2 - WIN

Opponent fled! We get a free pass!

Battle 3 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: None

Ouch. My team was once again too weak in this battle. Despite fielding a decent lineup, I was no match against my opponent here and couldn't do much about it.

Battle 4 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Larissa Kerato and Flagulon Reine

This time, I managed to win with 2 Legendary Gladius cards in action! Larissa Kerato and Flagulon Reine teamed up and inflicted a lot of damage on my opponent's lineup, but the MVP had to be Djinn Oshannus, whose Void made a lot of difference against an opposing Magic lineup led by Obsidian.

Battle 5 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Captain Katie

This battle was much closer than it looked! My opponent had 2 very strong Melee cards, and the damage output was massive. Fortunately, with Grandmaster Rathe's Armor, Venari Crystalsmith's Tank Heal, I managed scrape through with Captain Katie doing most of the heavy lifting.

So that sums up my 5 battles for this brawl! 60% win rate this time round! Got to do better in the next round!
