Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Common Cards Take The MVP!

Time flies! Just completed the 196th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

• Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

• Moving Back To Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I made the decision to move back to a Bronze level fray, which is where my cards are at. It proved to a good decision but I was back to winning form!

Had 8 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

• We Got 6th!!!

So for the final result, we were 6th out of 10 guilds and got 485 Merits and around 13 SPS! A whole bag of SPS!

Individually, I had 8 fights this time and I won 6 of them this time! Finished 1st within the guild. Woohoo! Due to change in format, wins are actually awarded to the players present in the fray if guilds decided to skip the fray. For this round, there were 1 additional win for me.

Battle 1 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: None

Scattershot battles can be quite reliant on luck sometimes. I think I didn't have the luck and my lineup was already facing an uphill battle against 4 Legendary cards and 1 Legendary summoner. Eventually I had to take a loss and my card collection depth just wasn't as strong for this restrictive ruleset.

Battle 2 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Relenor Cleaver and Isgald Vorst

Lol. Can't say anything about this but thanks for the free win. Haha.

MVP: None (almost like a free win)

Battle 3 - WIN

Opponent fled. We shall take this win.

Battle 4 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Katrelba Gobson and Bertrol Gobson

Wow we won a Quora Towershead lineup! I always dislike facing Quora Towershead because she is just too powerful, especially if she gets Bloodlust going. Fortunately, my team did well and the Gobson Gladius cards combined well to take down the cards and eventually it was 4 vs 1 against Quora Towershead, and we had enough to take this win.

Battle 5 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Sola Ranjell

This was an exciting battle to watch because both teams came out with strong lineups. My Iziar combination with 2 healers posed a lot of difficulties for my opponent and bought a lot of time for team. Towards the end, my team had issues against the opposing Djinn Oshannus but it was Time Meddler who did most of the defending and damage for this battle.

Battle 6 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Chimney Wallstop

Chimney Wallstop was on his own this battle and it was enough to win this 16 mana fight! There was a slight scare when my opponent had Flying and higher speed but fortunately Chimney Wallstop didn't disappoint in his solo performance.

Battle 7 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Gorth

My opponent's lineup was just too strong over here and Uriel The Purifier was so hard to fight against and my two cards just didn't have enough firepower to match them.

Battle 8 - WIN

Opponent fled! Yay!

So that sums up my 8 battles for this brawl! 75% win rate this time round again, not too bad!
