Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Facing 3 Quoras In 4 Battles!?

Time flies! Just completed the 163rd brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

  • Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

  • Moving Back To Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I made the decision to move back to a Bronze level fray, which is where my cards are at. It proved to a good decision but I was back to winning form!

Had 4 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

  • We Got 5th!!

So for the final result, we were 5th out of 9 guilds and got 377 Merits and around 13 SPS! A whole bag of SPS! Decent finish but was let down my participation as well. Sometimes I wonder how many people are playing Splinterlands these days.

Individually, I had 4 fights this time and I won just 1 of them this time! Finished 4th within the guild. Due to change in format, wins are actually awarded to the players present in the fray if guilds decided to skip the fray. For this round, there was 4 additional wins for me.

Let's jump into the battles!

Battle 1 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Isgald Vorst and Flagulon Reine

The Rebirth battle made it a crazy fight between the Gladius cards. Unfortunately, my opponent had Quora Towershead and it was just impossible for my team to fight against this card for this battle. One of the rare losses for Flagulon Reine, oh well.

Battle 2 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Palidon Rakk

This was a horrifying battle as everything just went wrong. Earth was my weakest element and my cards were of a lower level compared to my opponent. Not only that, Scattershot randomness helped my opponent and I had bad luck with the hits. And worst of all, my opponent used Quora Towershead again. There's no way to beat Quora Towershead in some of these rulesets I realised.

Battle 3 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Katrelba Gobson

Is that another Quora Towershead again? Oh my. Fortunately the Cripple ruleset made Quora Towershead weaker in this battle and Katrelba Gobson was able to get the Bloodlust and take her out eventually.

Battle 4 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: None

This was one of the most restrictive rulesets that I have ever come across and unfortunately, I didn't have enough cards compared to my opponent and let this battle go down.

So that sums up my 4 battles for this brawl! 25% win rate this time round! Ouch! Brawls are rollercoasters these days. One week we get full wins, and the next one we almost lost all.
