Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Fighting The Quoras

Time flies! Just completed the 105th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

  • Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

  • Staying In Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I decided to stick to what I fought in the last fray, which was Fray 6, which was 3/2/2/1. I felt I was starting to find my grove and this fray is neither too difficult nor too easy for me.

Had 6 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

  • We Got 6th!

So for the final result, we were 6th out of 9 guilds and got 485 Merits and around 11 SPS! Ouch! That's a record low for the guild I think.

Individually, I had 6 fights this time and I managed to win 2 of them this time! Finished 2nd within the guild!!!

Let's jump into the battles!

Battle 1 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Trapp Falloway

A tricky battle for this one and I had to field almost a perfect lineup to counter my opponent. Venator Kinjo did what he was supposed to do and shielded all the Blast attacks while leaving Cursed Windeku and Trapp Falloway to do their job. A Level 1 lineup victory this time!

MVP: Venator Kinjo

Battle 2 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

A rare appearance from Chaos Dragon in this brawl and its Scattershot went accurately to the cards that mattered, such as the opposing Pelacor Arbalest while the rest of the cards were caught up by my opponent's Taunt card. Very impressed with my lineup's damage output too!

MVP: Chaos Dragon

Battle 3 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Relenor Cleaver and Isgald Vorst

I was initially worried when I saw my opponent field two Gladius cards, including the dreaded Quora Towershead. Fortunately, my hits were perfectly executed and it turned out to be an easy win. Like I mentioned before, Opportunity hits have the ability to change the game, and in this case, it did!

MVP: Isgald Vorst

Battle 4 - WIN

Opponent fled! Lol!

Battle 5 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Edith Emberstar

I was expecting a Magic lineup but my opponent gambled on Melee attackers and boy, Diemonshark was very strong despite it being a Thorns battle. It all went wrong and my lineup was all over the place and no excuses here. It was really a bad performance.

MVP: None

Battle 6 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: None

If one Quora Towershead was hard to win, try a Martyr boosted one! Not just one but double boosted! There was no way back in this battle after the opposing Quora Towershead took in two Martyr boosts and started clocking Bloodlust. Nothing much I could do in this one.

MVP: None

So that sums up my 6 battles for this brawl! 67% win rate, a job well done in my view!

Thanks for the card links. I have a question: How many pizza tokens do I need to buy, in order to tip someone? And I guess I need to stake them after buying...
