Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Helheim Demon Is The Card For Earthquakes!

Time flies! Just completed the 175th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

  • Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

  • Moving Back To Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I made the decision to move back to a Bronze level fray, which is where my cards are at. It proved to a good decision but I was back to winning form!

Had 6 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

  • We Got 5th!

So for the final result, we were 5th out of 10 guilds and got 538 Merits and around 16 SPS! A whole bag of SPS! A decent finish this round!

Individually, I had 6 fights this time and I won 4 of them this time! Finished 6th within the guild. Due to change in format, wins are actually awarded to the players present in the fray if guilds decided to skip the fray. For this round, there was 1 additional win for me.

Let's jump into the battles!

Battle 1 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Larissa Kerato

What a disastrous start to the brawl! I was outwitted by my opponent and spent too much getting through their tank. Furthermore, they had Resurrect and I was forced to go through that Legionnaire Alvar twice. By then, my team was exhausted and I didn't have many cards to turn this around. Even my Gladius card couldn't produce a miracle here.

Battle 2 - WIN

Opponent fled! Lol! Free win there!

Battle 3 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Larissa Kerato and Flagulon Reine

This was an absolute joy to watch! Everything clicked together as my team of Magic cards rained down the damage output on my opponent's team. With two Legendary Gladius cards, I was confident of the outcome. MVP goes to Djinn Oshannus, whose Void was instrumental in protecting the backline.

Battle 4 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

The rulesets have become more and more interesting these days. And the Earthquake animation looked so cool now!!! Both teams were quite evenly matched I would say, but I had many more Flying cards in this Earthquake battle so it became an easy win for me. Helheim Demon was so solid as the Taunt card here!

Battle 5 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Trapp Falloway

Perfect win over here. I took a gamble with Trapp Falloway as the tank, hoping my opponent wouldn't field Cursed Windeku. Thankfully, everything worked out and Trapp Falloway put up a solid performance to secure this win.

Battle 6 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Isgald Vorst

Noooo... It was Isgald Vorst vs Isgald Vorst and I had more small cards to feed my opponent's Gladius card for Bloodlust. I thought this was the perfect lineup but it's unfortunate that my opponent had the same thinking as well.
