Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Isgald Vorst Was A Joy To Watch!

Time flies! Just completed the 95th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

• Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

• Staying In Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I decided to stick to what I fought in the last fray, which was Fray 6, which was 3/2/2/1. I felt I was starting to find my grove and this fray is neither too difficult nor too easy for me.

Had 8 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

• We Got 2nd!!!

So for the final result, we were 2nd out of 10 guilds and got 1023 Merits and around 11 SPS!

Individually, I had 7 fights this time and I won all 8 of them this time! Finished 1st within the guild with a clean sweep!

Battle 1 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

Sea Monster shone as usual for low mana fights as not many lineup combinations can overcome a tank that deals 4 Melee damage and self heals.

Battle 2 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Isgald Vorst

My opponent had an interesting strategy, relying on the Rebirth ruleset to trigger multiple Martyr abilites and Scavenge ability. Unfortunately, this worked awesomely in my Isgald Vorst's favour because Gladius cards could then trigger Bloodlust repeatedly. That's the first out of many impressive fights for Isgald Vorst this brawl!

Battle 3 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Trapp Falloway

Brought out my team of Death Melee attackers for this Melee Mayhem battle. Both teams threw out Disintegrator, making this battle long drawn. Had a little scare as the opposing Cursed Windeku was a tough nut to crack but eventually I edged this one. Kudos to Harklaw for being a splendid tank.

Battle 4 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Relenor Cleaver and Isgald Vorst

Another compulsory Melee fight, and no surprise, both teams brought out Disintegrator. I had the slight advantage, thanks to Demented Shark's Inpsire, along with higher levelled cards such as Isgald Vorst. The slight difference in levels meant I was able to strike first. Comfortable win for my Water lineups as usual. 2nd MVP for Isgald Vorst this brawl!

Battle 5 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Isgald Vorst

My opponent got the summoner choice wrong in this one and that's half the battle lost. Isgald Vorst had a great time picking off the filler cards and single handedly won this battle and stole the limelight from Sea Monster. 3rd MVP!

Gladius Card Used: Isgald Vorst

It was such a joy to watch Isgald Vorst play! My opponent didn't field a strong lineup with just Level 1 cards but they had no answer to Isgald Vorst's Opportunity attacks. Easy win for this one! 4th MVP!

Battle 7 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Trapp Falloway

This was a restrictive ruleset, with just Melee cards under Little League. Trapp Falloway shines in this category and was definitely the top pick. After a successful outing with Dallan last round, I tried him this round again. There was really no one at Trapp Falloway's level at Little League.

Opponent fled!

So that sums up my 8 battles for this brawl! 100% win rate, a clean sweep! It didn't come easy at all this time round as quite a number of battles were pretty close and intense.
