Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Last Brawl Of 2023!

Time flies! Just completed the 110th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

• Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

• Staying In Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I decided to stick to what I fought in the last fray, which was Fray 6, which was 3/2/2/1. I felt I was starting to find my grove and this fray is neither too difficult nor too easy for me.

Had 5 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

• We Got 1st!!!

So for the final result, we were 1st out of 9 guilds and got 915 Merits and around 22 SPS! Woohoo! That's the last brawl for me in 2023 and I am glad I was able to end off on a good note!

Individually, I had 5 fights this time and I managed to win 4 of them this time! Finished 3rd within the guild!

Battle 1 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Sola Ranjell

Ouch. After 20+ rounds, both teams succumbed to fatigue and I lost because I wasn't the host. This is so unfortunate. Avina Of The Wolf is become on my favourite Rebellion summoners and I gave the Heal ability to Iziar, who is supported by another two healers, Sola Ranjell and Venari Crystalsmith. However, my opponent had a self healing Quora Towershead and a healer Goblin Psychic. As such, both sides became a stalemate, leaving fatigue to resolve the result.

Battle 2 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Relenor Cleaver

This was yet another tough battle that dragged on for many rounds. Relenor Cleaver had the support of 2 Repair cards and barely scrape through all the cards just in time. Gladius cards are still a must in brawls.

Gladius Card Used: None

Once Drybone Raider got the Martyr boost, there was no way to stop him from blazing through my opponent's team. First time seeing how Ambush works - pretty interesting indeed.

Battle 5 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Gorth, Chimney Wallstop, Orella Abadon

Once again, I had to force that dreaded Quora Towershead. It's slightly demoralising because I don't have the luck to get even 1 despite opening 49 packs. This time, I had better luck, and with the help of 3 Gladius cards, I managed to overcome this crazy card and score that win. Satisfying win but still feel a little frustrated.

MVP: Chimney Wallstop

So that sums up my 5 battles for this brawl! 80% win rate, and the loss was actually a draw! Pretty satisfied given that I had to adapt to this Rebellion/Chaos cards restrictions.
