Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Legendary Gladius Cards Made The Difference!

Time flies! Just completed the 188th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

  • Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

  • Moving Back To Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I made the decision to move back to a Bronze level fray, which is where my cards are at. It proved to a good decision but I was back to winning form!

Had 6 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

  • We Got 6th!!!

So for the final result, we were 6th out of 9 guilds and got 377 Merits and around 12 SPS! A whole bag of SPS! Back to our usual mid table finish!

Individually, I had 6 fights this time and I won 3 of them this time! Finished 6th, or rather, last within the guild. Due to change in format, wins are actually awarded to the players present in the fray if guilds decided to skip the fray. For this round, there were 2 additional wins for me.

Opponent fled! Free win!

Battle 2 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Palidon Rakk

My mistake in this lineup was that I gave my opponent too many Bloodlust hits and this backfired my strategy to hide my Gladius deep within the lineup. Definitely taking the responsibility for this loss, and something to bear in the mind for future battles.

Battle 3 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Marisol Contuma

Mantaroth was so tough to fight against and even with Marisol Contuma, there was no way I was going to turn this match around. Seems like Marisol Contuma's victory record isn't not high, or is it bad luck? Haha.

Battle 4 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Flagulon Reine

Flagulon Reine turned my bad fortunes around with an impressive masterclass. The Blast was very handy in hurting the backline and it also allowed more chances to clock additional Bloodlust. Even though my opponent had a Legendary Gladius card, it was no challenge for Flagulon Reine. First actual win this brawl.

Battle 5 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Larissa Kerato and Sola Ranjell

Another Legendary Gladius card to the rescue! This time, the Iziar/Sola Ranjell proved to be too strong for my opponent. Even though my opponent put out a strong lineup, the battle was won on strategy. Finally we got 3 wins on the board!

Battle 6 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Orella Abadon

Magic lineups with Obsidian and Queen Mycelia were always hard to fight against and this was no different. I didn't think I could have fielded a stronger lineup for this fight. As always, we move on and live to fight another day!

So that sums up my 6 battles for this brawl! Just 50% win rate this time round! Need to buck up in the next one!
