Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Made Mistakes In This Brawl But We Still Won!

Time flies! Just completed the 97th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

• Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

• Staying In Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I decided to stick to what I fought in the last fray, which was Fray 6, which was 3/2/2/1. I felt I was starting to find my grove and this fray is neither too difficult nor too easy for me.

Had 8 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

• We Got 1st!!!

So for the final result, we were 1st out of 10 guilds and got 1131 Merits and around 12 SPS! What a twist of fortunes! We went from 2nd to 5th and back to 1st again!

Individually, I had 8 fights this time and I won 7 of them this time! Finished 3rd within the guild with almost a clean sweep!

Battle 1 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Trapp Falloway

I am running out of superlatives to describe Trapp Falloway's performance. He single handedly took down the entire opposing lineup as my entire backline was hunted down by the opposing Sneak and Snipe attacks.

Battle 2 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

Made a mistake in this brawl, picking Astral Entity for my summoner when the ruleset already had Rebirth. Both teams went to cards heavy in Armor for tanks and the main difference separately the teams was that I had Disintegrator and my opponent didn't. For a Melee-only ruleset, that made a whole lot of difference.

Battle 3 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Relenor Cleaver

Wow what a battle! I ditched my Water summoner and went for Daria Dragonscale, along with Demented Shark, to create a high damage output Melee lineup. Somehow I struggled at the start but Kulu Mastermind's tanky stats held on for the team and we made it!

Battle 4 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: None

Made my 2nd mistake in this brawl. The final lineup wasn't as strong as I hoped to have, despite having 3 Flying cards for an Earthquake ruleset. As expected, my opponent came up with a better lineup and I lost out. Oops.

Opponent fled! Lol!

Battle 6 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

Lots of high mana battles in this brawl and this Ranged-only really stretched my card collection, but thankfully, I had enough cards to field out this lineup! Really have come a long way to have so many decent cards and it was an easy win in the end.

Battle 7 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Isgald Vorst

Sea Monster continued to be the card to beat in low mana battles. A routine win with my Water lineups!

Battle 8 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Gorth and Chimney Wallstop

Another big mana battle and once again I had the cards to field out a strong lineup! Pretty proud of myself and Countess Sinash deserved the MVP for striking the opposing Pelacor Arbalest out! That alone shaved 6 damage off my opponent per round.

So that sums up my 8 battles for this brawl! 88% win rate, almost a clean sweep, despite making some mistakes this time! Fortunately, they didn't cost the guild and we still ended 1st! Really proud to be fighting alongside my fellow Pizza 2 guild mates week in week out! You guys saved me this time!
