Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Summoners Decided The Outcome!

Time flies! Just completed the 120th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

  • Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

  • Staying In Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I decided to stick to what I fought in the last fray, which was Fray 6, which was 3/2/2/1. I felt I was starting to find my grove and this fray is neither too difficult nor too easy for me.

Had 5 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

  • We Got 3rd!!

So for the final result, we were 3rd out of 9 guilds and got 485 Merits and around 16 SPS! That's an incredible amount of SPS!!!

Individually, I had 5 fights this time and I managed to win 3 of them this time! Finished 3rd within the guild!

Let's jump into the battles!

Battle 1 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Palidon Rakk

This was a tough battle in the sense that only Earth lineups were allowed and the cap was 12 mana. There weren't many options available but thankfully I had Chuul Jujinchi which was a 3 mana summoner. That enabled me to field two decent cards with the remaining 9 mana and it was enough to squeeze out the win here.

Battle 2 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Isgald Vorst

An Earthquake battle meant I had to call upon Brighton Bloom to lead the charge and it definitely made the difference. Having Flying ability, the entire team was able to execute their damage output and my opponent eventually succumbed to Earthquake.

Battle 3 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Relenor Cleaver

99 mana battles are always interesting. At the same time, it was a test of the depth of one card's collection. Fortunately, I think I had the better cards and having the Magic damage boost from Delwyn Dragonscale made my Magic cards hit extremely hard.

Battle 4 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Witch Of Warwick and Liza Fox

Ouch this was a narrow loss, and it made me wonder if I could have fielded a better lineup. It was a neck to neck contest until the very end where the attack frequency of our final cards cost my team dearly.

Battle 5 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Isgald Vorst

The opposing Djinn Oshannus was just too strong over here and Sea Monster at Level 1 just wasn't strong enough to withstand the hits.

So that sums up my 5 battles for this brawl! A 60% win rate, definitely room for improvement!

Hey! I have been faithfully clocking 1-2 daily chests a day as I am playing Splinterlands casually. I find it more fun to play the brawls! What about you?

The brawl competition is too tough for me.
I prefer to play in the Silver League.
My brawl battles are so serious that I only enter the arena for the Guild Brawls Challenge.
