Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - The Gladius Case Shakes!

Time flies! Just completed the 149th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

  • Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

  • Moving Back To Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I made the decision to move back to a Bronze level fray, which is where my cards are at. It proved to a good decision but I was back to winning form!

Had 5 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

  • We Got 4th!!

So for the final result, we were 6th of 9 guilds and got 431 Merits and around 11 SPS! A whole bag of SPS! Decent finish!

Individually, I had 5 fights this time and I won 2 of them this time! Finished 4th within the guild. Due to change in format, wins are actually awarded to the players present in the fray if guilds decided to skip the fray. For this round, there were 3 additional wins for me.

Let's jump into the battles!

Battle 1 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Isgald Vorst

What a close shave! The level of my cards were way higher and this was supposed to be a comfortable win, but the opposing Gladius card was giving me a lot of problems. Fortunately, I struggled to the finishing line and to bring home a win.

Battle 2 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Ajax Lightfoot

Horrible performance in this battle. I struggled to think of a good way to field a team for this odd ruleset and in the end I packed a random team of cards as the clock ticked down and see what happened. Unacceptable to be defeated by a full Level 1 team.

Battle 3 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Larissa Kerato and Katrelba Gobson

Facing with Quora Towershead, I wasn't optimistic of my chances. Moreover, my opponent's lineup was very strong. Fortunately, my Earth lineup surprisingly delivered, boosted by the Legendary Larissa Kerato. Interestingly, this was the second or third time Larissa Kerato defeated Quora Towershead.

Battle 4 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Bertrol Gobson

This was a battle of Gladius cards to see whose card can get more Bloodlusts. In the end, my opponent ramped up the Bloodlusts faster and even with 2 Martyr boosts, I didn't have enough in Bertrol Gobson to beat my opponent. Not proud of this performance though.

Battle 5 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Katrelba Gobson

These weird rulesets are somehow forcing to use my weakest element Earth to play and I didn't like that. I found myself struggling through most of the fights this time without a satisfactory lineup and this was no different. It was a mixed lineup because I didn't know what to do. And as expected, it was a loss.

So that sums up my 5 battles for this brawl! 40% win rate this time round again! Let's hope the next one is better!
