Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Top 4 Guilds Separated By 1 Win!!!

Time flies! Just completed the 102nd brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

  • Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

  • Staying In Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I decided to stick to what I fought in the last fray, which was Fray 6, which was 3/2/2/1. I felt I was starting to find my grove and this fray is neither too difficult nor too easy for me.

Had 5 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

  • We Got 2nd!

So for the final result, we were 2nd out of 10 guilds and got 538 Merits and around 16 SPS! Back to back podium finishes!

Can I say just this was a very intense brawl because the Top 4 Guilds were separated by just 1 win!! Literally every win counted this time!

Individually, I had 5 fights this time and unfortunately I could only managed to win 3 of them this time! Finished 3rd within the guild!!!

Let's jump into the battles!

Battle 1 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: None

I knew it was doomsday the moment I saw this lineup. After a previous battle where I anticipated a full Magic lineup for Back to Basics and it turned out to be a semi Ranged lineup from my opponent, I didn't want to use Bortus this time round. Obviously, my lineup wasn't capable of handling a Alric boosted Magic lineup.

Battle 2 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Relenor Cleaver and Isgald Vorst

This is the kind of lineup that is almost impossible to beat. With Scarred Llama Mage, Kron Undying, and Quora Towershead! I put up a good fight until 14 misses on Spirit Of The Forest let me down. Bad luck I guess.

Battle 3 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Witch Of Warwick

I seemed to have nailed Rebirth battles well these days. The recipe is pretty standard - use cards with Martyr to trigger the ability twice, use cards with Scavenge because each card goes down twice, use Gladius cards because the opportunity to score Bloodlust doubles. Witch Of Warwick continued her impressive form from the last brawl and secured this win here.

Battle 4 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Isgald Vorst

Got this unexpected win against Quora Towershead! Even Quora Towershead can't overcome a Brighton Bloom led lineup in this Earthquake battle. On a separate note, why does everyone has Quora Towershead, but not me? Haha.

Opponent fled! Hehe!

So that sums up my 5 battles for this brawl! 60% win rate, pretty satisfied after facing such tough lineups this time!
