Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Water Saves The Day Again!

Time flies! Just completed the 57th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

  • Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

  • Staying In Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I decided to stick to what I fought in the last fray, which was Fray 6, which was 3/2/2/1. I felt I was starting to find my grove and this fray is neither too difficult nor too easy for me.

Had 5 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

  • We Got 3rd!!

So for the final result, we got 3rd out of 10 guilds and got 700 Merits and around 11 SPS!

Individually, I had 5 fights this time and won 4 this time! Am back to my winning ways and finished 3rd within the guild! Happy with my personal performance.

Let's jump into the battles!

Battle 1 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Edith Emberstar

This was a tough ruleset to pick cards because it had Poison and Back to Basics. The only way was to throw in cards with the highest amount of damage so that my opponent will go down fast. Fortunately it worked and my damage output was far more superior. Credit should go to my summoner for the boost!

Battle 2 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Isgald Vorst

This was a tough fight and my opponent had really strong cards at the front. My Water lineup had to grind its way through and fortunately, my familiarity and confidence in my Water cards ensured that I pulled through with a close win. Phew!

Battle 3 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Trapp Falloway

This was an epic battle but at the same time it was so painful to watch. Wasn't sure what was on my opponent's mind when he boosted all the cards' HP to 13 in this equalizer battle. Probably because he had 2 cards using Life Leech and that was his strategy. I had a similar strategy but both Venari Bonesmith and Life Sapper were neutralised because of Magic reflect. In the end it was Trapp Falloway that did most of the hard work, while Ever-Hungry Skull kept the team intact by staying extremely strong at the front!

Battle 4 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Cutter Brieze

This battle went horribly wrong right from the start as I didn't have the firepower to cope with the opposing Grund. My hopes were all pinned on attacks to miss Regal Peryton but it failed.

Battle 5 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Isgald Vorst

The final battle was a battle of Water lineups and I wasn't surprised I scored this win because my lineup was far more superior. Simple as that, hehe!

So that sums up my 5 battles for this brawl! 80% win rate so it's pretty decent!

The Merits are coming in fast and I have enough Merits for my 27th Gladius case! Ouch, I got the bare minimum of 4 Commons and 1 Rare.

Congrats !PIZZA 2 on the third place. I really like Isgold! Bloodlust with Opportunity has a good chance of getting set off.
