Maldives - Paradise On Earth (Part 2)

IMG_5857.JPG

Hello there!

Having completed my Japan travel posts, I was going through some of my travel photos and was wondering which country would be interesting to share in my next post. And after shortlisting a few countries, I settled on Maldives, which to me is a Paradise On Earth!

This trip was a meaningful one for me because this was my first trip after I started working. Because Maldives' flights and resorts were generally on the expensive side, it took a while for me to save up for a 4 day 3 night trip to Maldives. This was many years ago, and I remembered it costed around SGD 2,500 (around USD 1,865).

Because of the length of this trip, and the activities that my friend and I did, I will split the posts into several parts so that it's not too lengthy (and it's also more manageable on my end).

Here's Part 1 (link) if you missed it!

So let's go!

Rise and shine! It's the second day at the resort at Maldives! We stepped out of our accommodation and went for a walk onto the beach.

How beautiful is this? Blue skies, clear waters, sandy beaches. It was just like a paradise. I think we were up relatively early so there weren't much people too.

They even had an air conditioned gym and the treadmills faced the waters! I did a short jog on the treadmill just to experience the feeling of exercising in front of such a view. Haha.

After breakfast, we continued exploring the resort, which was pretty big actually.

They had various activities for the visitors to keep themselves occupied, from chess sets, to ping pong tables, or even cooking sessions. As long as you are open minded to try the stuff out, you won't be bored.

Then we came to the swimming pool, which was right in front of the waters too! What an amazing view! I spent a couple of hours here, just chilling in the pool, and admiring the scenery. Even though it's almost the same everywhere, I could never get bored of the blue skies and sandy beaches, especially knowing that my stay here won't be that long as well.

They also had many of these huts scattered around the island, and they served free flow free juices! So my friend and I got our glasses and sat at the beach to chill further!

After our rest, we headed over to the "expensive" part of the island. They had these little houses built on top of the shallow waters. I can't remember the cost for one night, but it was definitely way out of my budget. Haha. As visitors, we were still able to take a walk in the area and on the bridge too.

Time flies when you are having fun! The sky started to get darker as the sun sets for the day.

And at night, it was really very dark. The two sets of photos were taken with and without flash. The first set was the path back to our accommodation and the second set was the view of the jetty from the beach. Fortunately we had our torch lights from our phones so it was fine.

And another random snap of the waters at night! After a certain distance, you can't see what's further away anymore.

So that's pretty much for our second day over at Maldives. It was just a relaxing day and the hospitality was awesome over at the resort. Look forward to the next posts where we ventured further and snapped some breathtaking photos!

Have you been to Maldives? Let me know in the comments if you have been here too, and what are your thoughts about this place?

Wow! Maldives really look like paradise!!! I wouldn't mind having my "office" 20 meters from the beach, even if I couldn't use those treadmills... Hehehehe... By the way, is it forbidden to run on the sand? 😃 Love the photos! I have never been to Maldives, but it is high on my list... Maybe we could do a HiveFest there? 😃

Thanks for the kind words! And for picking this post too!

By the way, is it forbidden to run on the sand?

Hahaha of course no.. There are people that play all sorts of beach games at the beach! But I do see the resort staff cleaning and picking up trash very diligently every morning when I go for my breakfast.

Maybe we could do a HiveFest there? 😃

Undoubtedly it is a paradise, the blue of its infinite sky in contrast with the sea and the white and soft of its sands. Greetings !
