Maldives - Paradise On Earth (Part 3)
Hello there!
Having completed my Japan travel posts, I was going through some of my travel photos and was wondering which country would be interesting to share in my next post. And after shortlisting a few countries, I settled on Maldives, which to me is a Paradise On Earth!
This trip was a meaningful one for me because this was my first trip after I started working. Because Maldives' flights and resorts were generally on the expensive side, it took a while for me to save up for a 4 day 3 night trip to Maldives. This was many years ago, and I remembered it costed around SGD 2,500 (around USD 1,865).
Because of the length of this trip, and the activities that my friend and I did, I will split the posts into several parts so that it's not too lengthy (and it's also more manageable on my end).
Here's the earlier posts:

With further ado, let's go!
Rise and shine! It's the third day at the resort at Maldives! This was an exciting day because we were heading out to do some sightseeing!
As usual, this was the beach that greeted us every morning. Fortunately, the weather was generally good with just scattered showers during our time there. It's just so peaceful over at the resort.
After spending our first two days at the island resort, we signed up for a trip to explore the surrounding islands. This was one of the ferries that they used for their day trips.
When we were further out from the shore, the waters were clearer and we could see fishes from our ferry. I think that fish thought we were going to feed them, but nah, haha!
And off we go! Blue skies, blue waters, and amazing clouds! Totally a mesmerising sight! I could just sit and watch this sight the entire day. Hehe!
And then we arrived at Thulusdhoo, a village at one of the nearby islands. This was our ferry.
Some photos of the sandy coast before we headed off with our guide to explore their local village.
On this island, the locals live here so these are their residential buildings. As we walked down the streets, we could see some locals getting on with their daily lives too.
This was one of their schools on the island. I guess every kid on the island would attend the school here.
Some other random sights around the village before we headed back to the ferry for our next destination!
Before I end, here's another interesting fun fact. They had a Coca Cola factory on the island, and we all went to buy a bottle because we were thirsty too. Freshly made from the factory! As you could see from the label, this bottle was really bottled in Maldives!
So that's pretty much for the first half of the third day over at Maldives. It was a relaxing day as we had the opportunity to take in some local sights. Many people visit Maldives for the beautiful scenery and breathtaking sights, but aside from resorts after resorts, they do have their local life and it's interesting to see and experience what their streets look like, how their schools look like, etc. Look forward to the next posts where we ventured further and snapped some breathtaking photos!
Have you been to Maldives? Let me know in the comments if you have been here too, and what are your thoughts about this place?

I love the sea although I do not like the life that exists in the depths, but it is magnificent to be able to appreciate this very beautiful place.
Yeah, the depths can be scary! Thanks for dropping by! :)
Looks like some really beautiful pictures
Thanks for the kind words! Maldives is beautiful indeed!
I didn't know there was such a wide variety of blues, hehe. What incredible views with that sky, sea and clouds!! From what I see, the Maldives are exactly as they appear in the catalogues of paradisiacal destinations. It's fun to find a Coca-Cola factory there, the last place in the world where I would think there was one. I also like to know the daily life of the places I visit.
