Weekend Engagement - The Planner And The Rain

image.png

Outdoors or indoors this weekend, what's your preference and why?

The past few weeks have been pretty rainy so I am definitely picking indoors this weekend!

Speaking of the rain, it's slightly heavier than a drizzle, yet it's far from a downpour. And it stops and starts and it repeats. Definitely not a fun time to be in outdoors if you ask me. Hehe!

So here's me yesterday, sitting by a cafe in the mall, having one of my favourite drinks (that's matcha), and just stare out of the windows. It's raining outside, but as you probably can tell, it's not heavy but the rain goes pitter patter.

On hindsight, I probably should have ordered a hot drink instead. Somehow, the weather outside feels a little cold, and the aircon in the malls made it even more chilly. Lol!

I had a productive "me time" as well. I managed to check and reply some of my messages, keep up with some of my games (like Splinterlands!), read some articles (how the S&P500 index has hit an all time high!), and did some planning for my week ahead.

Speaking about planning my week ahead, I can't remember when exactly this habit began, but I started mapping out on what I needed to do in the coming week in advance. It's personal stuff and not related to work of course. For example, it could be where I would plan to have my meals so that I don't have spend time thinking when it's meal time, or small tasks for little projects that I am working on, be it organising stuff within the house, or scheduling time to meet friends or making reservations for a night out at a restaurant.

I know it sounds a little odd to some people, but I somehow like to come up with a to-do list for myself and my goals, and it feels good when I make effort to complete the tasks and tick those checkboxes. Haha. Let's see where this new habit takes me.

Hope you guys are having a great weekend too!
