Lets Open Some Packs (A Legendary Flip)
Today while scrolling the comment section of my created content I came across a comment that stated they opened a CHAOS Booster Pack. Well, I was never one to fight peer pressure so I thought to myself: (Self) that sounds like a fun idea; so I went ahead and did just that. In fact I decided to open five packs (its hard to stop at just one). Currently CHAOS Packs USD value is just $0.75* which is about 2.24* worth of HIVE. Lets see what I flipped and review the USD of the content inside (Here We Go!).
As you can see we didn't hit anything spectacular in the terms of USD worth. However we did hit a Legendary (Uriel The Purifier) and a Gold Rare Life Sapper and we only opened five CHAOS booster packs to do so. I would consider that a win in regards to cards flipped. Now lets take a look at the USD worth of cards. If we add up the value of the NFT's in these five packs using List prices that value comes to $3.54. If we add up the value of the NFT's in these five packs using Market Price that value comes to $3.20. The total cost in USD spent on these five packs was roughly $3.70 USD. So as you can see I didn't fully cover the cost but its close enough for me. If we add in the fun of opening packs, I came out way ahead. CHAOS Packs are no longer sold by the official Splinterlands company. Instead one needs to purchase them from secondary markets like this one---> https://tribaldex.com/trade/CHAOS

What is Splinterlands?
Splinterlands is a play2earn game built on the Hive Network. The game itself utilizes NFT's for game play. These NFT's can be won in battle and/or purchased from the official Splinterlands marketplace or many other secondary markets. Game play rewards players with cryptocurrency and in game assets.

one GF only, thats not good
Even though some of the pack opens tallied just over 10 cents in value I did almost brake even on the overall purchase and that is a decent enough outcome for me. Hopefully there will be more GF next time.
I agree completely. Most fun I've had in awhile on Splinterlands was buying and opening a pack. With the crypto prices, easy to get in a funk and forget the fun that brought us here 🙂
Its certainly fun opening packs.
I still silently scream to myself (Turn Gold) every-time a card shakes.

Opening these packs is very interesting and new and special items can be revealed, now it depends on the luck of the person.
You are right, contents of packs come down to luck.
