Enjoy the rainy season | Weekend Engagement - WEEK 192

When I read the article on the Ecency homepage, my attention was drawn to the question in your weekend experience post. It was a simple question, but it prompted me to reflect on my lifestyle.

Are you physically active on weekends, or do you prefer to stay sedentary?

In 2024, I underwent a lifestyle transformation. I'm using the last two months as a reference. Heavy work in five working days means I spend a lot of weekends at home. Previously, I spent the majority of my weekends outside the house, visiting recreational areas.

The rainy season has also influenced my decision to live a sedentary lifestyle. Tropical countries, including my own, experience a rainy season from December to March. If it rains, outdoor activities will be less enjoyable.

I make the most of my weekends by staying at home with my family. There are numerous things I can do to make this weekend memorable. Of course, exercising at home is less active than outside.

So I established a routine for using the land in my yard. It's not much, but I began planting tree seeds in the ground or in planting media made from recycled plastic. Of course, this works because the rainy season promotes healthy seed growth. I've planted several of these seeds along the road, hoping they'll grow into shade trees.

Aside from that, a month ago I was able to repair my game console, which had been damaged for a long time. My Sony PlayStation 3. The old console that I'd had since the coronavirus pandemic was broken. With free time on the weekend, I was able to refine and then include some memorable games. This is also part of my weekend routine. Of course, this makes my weekend lifestyle appear to be one of inactivity.

On weekends, I also spend time playing and hanging out with my family. This is mostly done at home. If the weather is nice, we gather in the yard to enjoy tea and coffee. and if the weather is rainy, our family gathering atmosphere will be centered inside the home.

And this week, I got to enjoy a lot of holidays because they coincide with many celebrations in my country. Of course, after spending the weekend, I am ready to resume my work routine at the office.

And, of course, it will provide another opportunity next weekend. Hopefully, it can improve and become more active. Have a great time.
