I noticed this on my way to the neighboring village to stock up on sausages, and when I mentioned it at the inn, our cook was naturally very interested.

So he invites us to start picking before the birds do.
So we're off to pick cherries today.

J'ai constaté ça en me rendant dans le village voisin pour y faire provision de saucisses, et quand j'en ai parlé à l'auberge, notre cuisinier s'est bien sûr montré très intéressé.
Il connait une recette de gâteau à la cerise qu'il veut absolument nous faire gouter, et il n'aurait rien contre l'idée de faire des confitures aussi.
Il nous invite donc à procéder à la cueillette avant que les oiseaux s'en chargent.
Nous allons donc partir ramasser les cerises aujourd'hui.

Mais avant le départ, comme à mon habitude je propose un petit jeu, deviner combien de kilos de cerises nous allons ramasser?
Je suis sûr que notre aubergiste se montrera généreux et offrira des pots de confiture au gagnant.
