I've tweaked the rules a bit to avoid duplicates among participants so that everyone has a chance.
There won't be a post tomorrow (I'm off to the sales), the result of the game will be given on Sunday and there will be the question game.

THE GIVEAWAY:

It's open to everyone and gives you the chance to win 1 HSBI. Today, you have to guess a number or be the closest.

To take part, simply enter a number between 0 and 99 as a comment (making sure it hasn't already been chosen).

The reference number will be the last two digits after the decimal point of the closing price of the Water token in USD on coingecko.com tonight at midnight UTC (05/07/2024).

THE VILLAGE DIARY:

We observed on our last expedition that those infected by Epidemic Z were keeping their distance from the water, and we decided to take advantage of this by trying to flood the ditch surrounding our fence.

That's the job I asked our villagers to do yesterday.
Unfortunately, the water doesn't stay in the ditch; it quickly seeps into the ground and we have to find another solution.

We have a pond nearby which is fed by a spring, so we're going to try and dig a small canal between the pond and the ditch so that it's permanently filled. When the soil is saturated with water, the level will be maintained.
We'll install a device near the fence to stop the flow of water if necessary, as we don't want to be flooded.

It'll be a small canal and we've got plenty of hands to build it, but will the Infected leave us alone while we work?

We'll see. What do you think the canal's percentage of completion will be in a day?

I've listed the workers requisitioned for the canal on one of the papers I've got in my pockets, and the others will be in charge of protecting them from the infected.

LE JOURNAL DU VILLAGE:

Nous avons observé lors de notre dernière expédition que les infectés de l'épidémie Z se tiennent à distance de l'eau et nous avons décidé d'en tirer avantage en essayant d'inonder le fossé qui entoure notre palissade.

C'est le travail que j'ai demandé hier à nos villageois.
Hélas l'eau ne reste pas dans le fossé, elle s'infiltre rapidement dans le sol et nous devons trouver une autre solution.

Nous avons un étang à proximité qui est alimenté par une source, nous allons donc tenter de creuser un petit canal entre l'étang et le fossé afin qu'il soit rempli en permanence. Quand le sol sera saturé d'eau, le niveau se maintiendra.
Nous installerons un dispositif à proximité de la palissade pour arrêter l'arrivée d'eau si c'est nécessaire, nous ne voulons pas être inondés.

Ce sera un petit canal et nous avons beaucoup de bras pour le construire, mais les infectés nous laisseront ils tranquilles pendant les travaux ?

Nous verrons bien, d'après vous quel sera le pourcentage d'avancement du canal en une journée ?

J'ai fait la liste des travailleurs réquisitionnés pour le canal sur un des papiers que j'ai dans mes poches, les autres seront chargés de les protéger des infectés.

Merci d'avoir travaillé au remplissage du fossé ce qui nous a fait comprendre la nécessité d'avoir un canal d'acheminement de l'eau.
