Your Thoughts are required! + Burn post!

Good evening buzzers! It's been a while since we've had a well-deserved Sloth Nap! It was only a few weeks, we could certainly do with a few more! Today we come to you look for some feedback!

Join Slothbuzz discord. Tell them SlothBurn sent you!

The Bulls continue to run across the cryptosphere, Hive is as always trailing behind at a sloth pace! Today we've been checking into our Hive-engine token buyback, and we had a thought. Should we continue to create the buyback wall at our price, slowly increasing it, or should we let you, the users decide the buyback and put our wall around that price?

It would seem even when our orders expire people continue to dump at whatever price is there. Should we continue to keep a high price which we believe the token is worth, or let you all decide what the price should be?

Should we continue to pay a premium to buy back those tokens from people who simply earn them to dump, or allow a real market value to be obtained? Let us know your thoughts! We need to find a 'true value' if we are to open a liquidity pool on a swap service.

Whilst you're here, have you tried the new Sloth.Buzz site yet?
All your favourite Hive communities and creators, plus find fast-paced, short-form content like Waves and D'buzzes from the 'decks' page!

Why not follow @slothburn and never miss another burn post? You'll continue to earn curation rewards so also consider adding us to your auto-vote/fan list at hive.vote
The main goal of this account is to BURN tokens! The benefit of doing so on Hive, using a "normal" account, means not only do I burn Hive tokens but also Hive-Engine tokens, like Slothbuzz

Total SlothBuzz burnt so far!

Staked tokens to NULL show as 'circulating' but are technically burnt as they cannot be used.

What is Sloth.Buzz?
See Richlist and track the tokens yourself!

Plus here's a list of some excellent tools!
From Token 'dust' sellers, and auto stakers to engagement and tipping tools! - Link

Buyback and Burn

Our buyback wall continues to scoop up tokens. For the most part, users are snapping up $slothbuzz, tokens to curate the best content at Sloth.Buzz and tip content with the '!SLOTH' command as a curation tool to onboard more users to sloth.buzz!

Not only this, Slothbuzz holders have the chance to win prizes (several different tokens and NFTs) from the Discord Chatbot - SlothBuzz Discord link

Drop your comments and let us know what we should do going forward, should we remain with the original plan of upping the buyback price monthly and bringing the sell price down in line with user sell prices, or should we take this new approach of matching both the buyback and sell prices to user-defined prices to ensure a 'fair and balanced' market?

Tribaldex SLOTHBUZZ
We staked tokens to dhedge.slothbuzz and lolz.sloth to earn rewards as part of their defi programs.

Tough one. A few factors for my choice is: I only just now figured there is a sloth tip-command.. took a sloth time for me to catch up to that.

While this speaks for keeping a higher price, I believe it would be beneficial to go for a more free market. The burns will automatically make it worth more and before we all know it we'll be back at where the price is now.

Wrong question.

Or maybe, complex question.

Hive-Engine tokens tend to move towards zero unless there's a value proposition that makes them worth more, in the eyes of those who own them, or earn them.

Most Hive-Engine tokens are damn near zero because (in people's minds) "why OWN them, rather than SELL them before the price goes down even more?"

Look at a community like INLEO/LeoFinance which has a full-time team of developers and innovators constantly pounding out new things to give the community value and even then, the LEO token barely holds $0.10 on the open market.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if you let the market decide the value, my guess is that SLOTHBUZZ would settle in around $0.01-$0.02. Maybe, because scarcity... but scarcity doesn't mean much in the absence of demand, and demand is significantly contingent on awareness and constant branding,... and, oh, that value proposition.

Otherwise, it's just another memecoin with a cute sloth for a mascot... and those tend to be "hot today, gone tomorrow."

So, value proposition? What is YOUR INTENT? Why did you create SLOTHBUZZ? What does it offer, besides "get token, watch number go up?" Remember, in Web 3, the token isn't the "product," it's merely the fuel for the product... so what IS the "product?" Once we have those nailed down, then come back to where/how the buy/sell walls are determined.

I kind of agree with Denmarkguy regarding this... There are plenty of questions that could be asked following yours...

  • Is your burning sustainable? Is it paid by a certain source of income?
  • What is the ratio between newly (daily) minted tokens and daily burned tokens?
  • I know that your token is scarce, but maybe exactly that is "killing" its use case of staking and curating?
    etc.

I still maintain that burning is an admission of failure to properly consider supply, but I suppose that's not exactly your question.

The only answer I could give that would be philosophically consistent would be for me to say let the market be free...let the people decide, don't manipulate it (even to the up side). Unfortunately, with the lack of sinks as pointed out by other commenters, we may all be a bit disappointed by what the people decide.

I mean, I'm willing to buy (a little) and hodl (all I get) cause I think you're a good guy and are active in mutual communities, not for any desire for profit; to that extent I'm probably in the minority.
