Giveaways? Good or Bad?
Do you take more interest in a project that hosts giveaways or frown upon them as spam/shill?
We all know giveaways attract a lot of spam accounts/bots, but they also allow a platform to get a little more exposure and hopefully allow some people to find out more about what they actually do.
Should we first align with some other communities on Hive to Cross-promote both projects? #Pizza, #Bros, #cartel, #leo, #alliance ( #PIMP ), #CBRS, #Dreemport, #ScholarandScribe, #POB, #Neoxian?
Slothbuzz discord is full of buzz about giveaways, the community think it's a great idea, give people free stuff!
Personally, after slothin around in crypto for years Sloth is on the side of "they're spammy and don't attract "real" users"
In saying that, Hive seems a little more...upscale, with fewer bots, and spam accounts, and more real people looking to create and connect...
So real people on Hive,

We've got some ideas for some exciting giveaways, from basic token giveaways, like Slothbuzz, Hive or HSBI. To some more "involved" Giveaways, content creation events and raffles.
Who's heard of HSBI? Do you use it? Wish you used it? Or avoid it at all costs?

Or
Paid Lotto / Raffle that costs you to enter but with potentially much larger prizes?

In the beginning yes. Afterward, I think the game will have people run giveaways by themselves. Just look at some of the mature games and even some of the upcoming games. I think focusing more on the gameplay is better as other people will help do the rest afterwards.

Well....I will shout out to the giveaway groups, they make engagement a whole lot fun ... I think they will do better than those without giveaways.
