A story alliance!

Good morning buzzer, today we're going to have a look into The Alliance. (@thealliance) I'm loving being part of the community there, be it a rather new member with a tendency to sloth around and miss a lot of the buzz!

Yesterday I noticed a 'fam' ping, It was Snook looking for a new writer to add to the recent 'gnome story' that has been created part by part by the community. I (possibly stupidly) signed up to be the 'next writer' for The Alliance's Gnome adventure. Being such a super sloth, I've managed to catch up on all the important aspects, got a page of notes and done a quick draft of where I think I'll take the adventure next! There are already a few dots to connect and hopefully, a few more twists to come!

I wanted to take this chance to grab all the links of the previous 5 'parts' to the story, and actually read through them properly so I can create an idea for what I would like to add! I don't envy whoever has the task of 'rounding off' this whole story! There are so many moving parts, and with each author having a slightly different style, it's sure to be an exciting climax!

So, currently, we have 5 parts. Started wonderfully with Snook, adding some bonus details to set the scene and get the adventure off to a buzzing start!

I even love the difference in referencing the previous part, each author had their own way to backlink each part! I'm going to continue this trend by using a table when I finally publish my part, hopefully, tomorrow! I'm running low on time today and want to actually spend some time and effort on this piece! (I'll make it slightly easier for myself by doing the table below for convenience! I've removed the tags for now, will add them when I actually publish my story part!)

Managed to steal some images from those authors' previous parts, including the alliance logo and a page break!

I'm still a relatively new member of The Alliance, however, I try to get involved when and where I can, and we've been supporting them through Sloth.Buzz when we can! Well, I think that covers it for this post. It's given me the motivation I needed to dive in and fully explore the Gnome series so far, and inspired me to get a first draft done! Watch this space for a sloth gnome tale coming soon!
