FreeWriting 5 Minute Challenge, An interesting idea!
So, I used the squibler /dangerous-writing-prompt-app (I'll need to give the text a quick edit!)
Feel free to get involved in the Daily Writing Contest held by the #freewriting community! More info here Today's prompt was "Watch". Watch what I can do! #Lolz
So it begins, the 5-minute timer has started, I must watch, be wary, and never stop typing! Trying out the 5 min quibber app, hoping I can make it first time successfully without any incidents! Already I can feel the tension building as I tremble with excitement, the sweat beginning to beat down my back, fear crossing my eyes and my brain glazes over! What ideas to have, how to free write with such urgency whilst still having to Watch! Watch! Watch! The clock is ticking, the post could vanish at any time!
There's never been this amount of pressure on the sloth, or maybe I'm adding the pressure to myself, as I continue to watch the clock slowly ticking away I feel a little more comfortable, maybe this isn't so bad an idea after all! Oh, don't use the backspace, it doesn't count as typing! Leave your errors to the end as a way to practice writing in short spaces of time!
This could really improve my blogging experience, hopefully keeping some form of quality whilst keeping myself limited to a shorter amount of time. I keep watching, waiting for the clock to stop! As long as my sloth toes are moving words are being produced! Does the make sense? Will anyone Watch and read? Why do I keep saying watch.
We get the point, the 5-minute challenge was prompted by "watch", but it could be watching, a watch tower or something totally unrelated to everything I've been saying! Maybe it's just a little watch, on your wrist, ticking away, creating this sense of urgency and panic! Should I have used a stopwatch to watch the time as we watch it ticking away? I think that was one watch too many but we'll reevaluate on the flip side!
Not going to lie, now I'm getting into it, I actually think this could be a great way to encourage me to write more...
And just like that, my 5 minutes ended!
A few little edits for grammar, I left a few in to not go to far over 5 minutes total.
Well, good luck to anyone else taking part, I'll be sure to Watch out for your posts!
