Good morning. Namaste. 5am Club - day 2!
Good morning my awakening buzzers! It's day 2 of the slothly 5am club! Let's try out the new 'Photo-essay' community this morning!
(Unfortunately I didn't get a snap of me doing Yoga, so you'll have to imagine that really 'is' me)
Morning Routine
This morning I woke up SORE! My back, my arms, my legs! Everything! And to be fair, yesterday was the first day I'd woken up and done a small exercise routine in a long time. So this morning started with a 20min Yoga 'workout'. I must admit, although not something I would usually do, it's given me a nice little buzz this morning.
I'm still feeling a little attention in my arms, but using my standing desk this morning they don't feel too bad. The only thing I'm missing is the height of the screen, using a laptop it's still making my neck arch downwards slightly. Hopefully, I can get a monitor or something for my morning routine to allow me to fully stretch out and embrace the morning!
5am Club Day 2
It's day 2 of the Sloth 5am club. Yesterday I felt rather productive, getting some sloth posts done, and starting a Zealy campaign for sloth.buzz you can find it HERE. This morning I was joined by a little visitor outside my window
What is Zealy?
Zealy is gamified 'tasks' with a resulting leaderboard, for slothbuzz we've made them pretty simple, things like following on Twitter, joining the discord, posting a thread on leo threads and making posts on sloth.buzz. All the usual stuff you'd be doing on Hive! We've also added a task to use the 'sloth' command on someone else post to bring more awareness to Sloth.buzz.
Sloth but steady expanding our reach and onboarding new users. I think I'll add some more 'web2' focused tasks to further spread the word of Sloth and Hive in general. It's a great time to get the message of Hive out there and onboard more people! Hopefully, we can make it as 'simple' as possible for them to begin their Hive journey as that seems to be one of the major hurdles for newbies! There's so much to learn!
Get ready for the day!
A quick look at the weather, I must admit, I'm lucky and very thankful to have such an awesome view from my window, even if it is a little hazy this morning! The Fog or Haar hasn't shifted from last night!
Time for me to spend the last 20 minutes of this awakening hour planning out the rest of my day and doing some inner reflecting to make sure I'm on course for an awesome day! I hope you too have a great day and make the most of every second! We don't have to be stuck doing tasks we don't enjoy all day, make sure to spend some time on yourself, even if that's at 5am before everyone else wakes up!
Final thoughts
Get out and smell the roses or bluebells! Deep breaths, feel your body wake and engage, and start your day off with a buzz!
EDIT: Bonus picture since I cant count to 5! I need more coffee in the morning!
Sloth out!

Wow! You're leaving near the beach. It is indeed a blessing and having those beautiful flowers to see everyday is great.
Yes, I moved to the coast in the last year, one of the best decisions I've made! Such beautiful scenery all around! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Wow! Everyday you can be with nature. A day maybe tiring but the nature has its natural healing properties.
Good morning , and welcomy to #photo-essay , and thank you for sharing your photos and story.
there are laptop stands in the market that might solve your neck problem
5am is a good time to go out with a camera to capture some insects , most of them are still slow around that time.
and ohh , you forgot to mention your Discord server : https://discord.gg/RNSzePvu5Q 😁
Thanks for the welcome, i rather enjoy breaking up my stories with a few photos (need to try remember the magic number of 5!) so will no doubt be frequenting here some more with my posts!
Oh, good to know, I might have to invest in one of those! Thanks for sharing.
That's an awesome Discord server right there, full of buzz! :D
Hey there,
Your post is so inspiring. I am dying to get back into my yoga routine.
That desk in the photo looks ideal. Otherwise, you could DIY using a cardboard box if you have an extra keyboard:)
Take 20mins and let yourself yoga! First time for me, and it was great! I think it’ll become a bigger part of my routine from now on!
I’m using boxes to get my laptop high enough as is, I don’t currently have another keyboard but I did think of that as an option! Thanks for your suggestion!
Ah, ok! Without the external keyboard, you might end up getting shoulder pain from trying to type with the laptop elevated.
I'm going through the same problem at the moment... My keyboard battery just ran out and I'll have to go buy replacement batteries tomorrow.
Btw this is @millycf1976. I communicated with you from the Coffee Community Account by mistake. 🙃
I’ve got it set to elbow height, so perfect for typing, just having to look slightly downwards at the screen. I’ll either use my spare monitor or grab an external keyboard, not sure the stands would be beneficial.
Ah thanks for commenting Milly! I know what it’s like, running a couple of other account for communities I’ve been known to do the same!
So many awesome communities on Hive I can’t keep up! I’ll be sure to check out the coffee one, everyone knows sloth needs a buzz!
I have a portable desk, but it's in storage. Some of them can be flimsy, and awkward, so I always revert to using the cardboard box. It's my Chiropractor who gave me that tip about the box, and it costs nothing.
Haha! I thought I should identify myself, so you wouldn't wonder why a coffee community is commenting and giving you suggestions 😅
Nice yoga-ing !lolz
Nice slow exercise for a sloth to get involved with!

Spending time on yourself is great advice! I often need that reminder. Love the bluebells.
Thanks for the tip!
I’ve had a great couple of days rescheduling my life and finding some more time for myself! It’s allowing me to focus more on the things I need to, so actually getting more done by spending less time.
If you like coffee, be sure to pop by Cinnamon Cup Coffee sometimes:)))
