Low Liquidity, Low Inflation Tokens do best in bear markets!

Hive Token economie

It's been an interesting few days on Hive, I've noticed a lot more tokens are realising their 'mistake/error' when it comes to running a project/token economy in a bear market. Getting the numbers correct is always difficult, how to have enough tokens to get people involved, and have tokens for events and onboarding? Gifting tokens to other projects for collaborations? Finding utility for tokens and creating value?

Inflation

Of course, we all love tokens, the higher the number the better, right?

Well maybe from a user standpoint, owning 1000 tokens looks awesome, but how do they retain value when there are 100000 or even MILLIONS of tokens being minted weekly/monthly?

Buyback, burns, utility? How can a token keep itself 'balanced' in such hard market conditions, especially on networks such as Hive, with an already limited supply of users and liquid Hive?

SlothBuzz

Sloth buzz started in a bear market, there was never the need to 'sell' anything, the token was there for people to earn, slothly but surely adding to their stack. No one 'had' to buy, although being a decentralised platform, the token was available to trade on the market by users. Currently, slothbuzz has less than 50 tokens available on the market, yet the number of users holding the token continues to increase week after week.

Most are earning by utilising the #slothbuzz or using the sloth.buzz outpost to create and share their content. Users are getting involved with the slothbuzz community and furthering their reach within Hive. The Sloths really are beginning to make a buzz!

The solution?

It would seem other projects are beginning to see this also, lowering their inflation, and making major changes to the way they distribute and share their tokens. Low inflation, or even deflation is much more efficient long term. Sometimes taking this sloth can have a major impact! We all love to buzz, but sometimes we need to sit back, sloth it out and let things grow organically. On occasion, it's even worth having a @slothburn!

Of course, sloth buzz continues to look for ways to add exposure and connect with different people/projects, we'd love to connect with project owners and hold contests and events to reward and embrace the Hive community (and onboard more web2 users to such an exciting platform which is Hive!). Reach out, shake the sloth by the tail and make it buzz! (Please don't really shake any sloths, we wouldn't want to hurt them!)

The future?

Sloth buzz has a long and buzzy future ahead, as part of our master plan, we won't bore you with promises of things that 'might' come, we'll continue to build and grow, onboarding users and creating value without the need for wild promises. From adding more of the awesome Hive user's music to our radio (cryptoradio.fm), to sharing and highlighting the best content through our weekly curations. Even just sharing tweets and streamers going live in our discord. We're always on the lookout for ways to help you buzz!

The team is hard at work doing everything they can to maximise users' fun and enjoyment of Hive! We figure if we make things fun and enjoyable people will relate a lot more to the buzzy way of life! We're looking to make the most of Zealy, and will begin more community contests! Bring back those memes!
