New Year, New Me! This year, I resolve to make no mistakes

Good Morning Hivians! What a year, What a month, and what a week! Well, in fact, so far, what a day! Where to begin, I rolled out of bed 2 hours later than "normal"! So without further ado, and before the dog starts nudging me to get out for his morning walk, I thought I would crank out a quick post!

It's New Year's Eve, Hogmanay, as we Scots like to call it! Time for everyone to have a good ole Hootanany and enjoy bringing in the New Year! Grab a drink, smooch with a loved one, or a random one in the pub, and bring in the bells in style!

Time for all the awesome New Year's sayings to be flung around, resolutions, "New Year, New me" and all the fun ones! I hope you noticed my little fun in the title! Start the year as we mean to go on and all that!

Well, this year, I think I actually do need to push toward the "New me" well not so much a new me, but an improved me! It's too easy to procrastinate and not work, when you work for yourself. Especially since you don't "have" to. It's great sitting playing games, or watching the time float on by, but it doesn't get anything done! Sloths should be productive, it's in the name!

Sloth = Super loving operator that helps! Or something like that!

Scheduling is important! So that's my main focus for the next...well, day...year, I'll try to focus one week at a time! I want to get more active in posting on Hive, I think it really does have a lot of potential. I need to get out of my head the idea of doing it to impress others, or for money. It's time to focus on just creating content I'm enjoying writing! I think this has been my main sticking point this last month. I have many ideas, just none that I really want to follow up on.

What a month to hit a dry spell, after my mahoosive Power up day at the start of the month, I also "won" the support of @traciyork for the month as part of the power-up day prizes! A massive honour, and as traciyork is a dedicated Hivian, although "giving" her upvotes to the content of the winner, she also takes the time to read and ensures to vote on worthy content, not only because it's been shared!

So first, a massive thank you to @traciyork for the support over the last month, even with my lack of worthy content! Hopefully, this one is a little more up to my normal standard! A massive thank you to all the Hivians who have taken the time to engage with me since beginning my journey on Hive also! There's been some ups and downs but overall it's been a great experience!

One thing I have taken away from the last few months is, engagement is key! This doesn't mean spamming giveaways (see my last post LOL) or shilling everything (see my last 4 years lmao)! Instead, it means taking time to interact with OTHER people and become interested in what THEY are doing! That's right! Showing interest in other people will actually result in them showing more interest in you and what you are doing! With that in mind, I'm putting that at the forefront of my new year. I won't bother with the New Years' resolution (or resolve huh), instead, I've just made it my focus!

I want to start engaging more with people, online, in real life, and in general! So, if you see a sloth sliding into your dms give him some love! He's probably there to catch up with old times, check in on what your doing and see if there's anything he can do to help!

Procrastination seems to overrule me most of the time, is that the sloth in me or do I have some underlying ADHD, either way, I need to begin refocusing my energy on productivity! So a new schedule is being drawn up, I'm going to get back into the routine of getting up at a set time! (I think that's a major step in the right direction) and overcome the lack of motivation to get out of bed (especially on these cold mornings) as it can't be helping anything.

Anyways, not sure where this post started or where it was supposed to go...New years day is fast approaching, otherwise known as the FIRST POWER-UP DAY of the YEAR! I'm looking forward to my first full year on Hive!
