Sloth days
Good afternoon, buzzers, it's Sloth, remember me? It feels like an eternity since I last posted! I've been fighting the demons, the sloth demon mostly! However, the internet demons tend to keep me on my toes! Then, when the internet is finally working, the sloth kicks back in! It seems to be a never-ending cycle! Will I ever 'grow up' and start making myself into a better sloth? Lesser sloth? I guess that contradicts itself!
Time to play catch up with Saturday Savers, I'm weighing up my options for doing a bumper power up to try get myself on track, yet when I think about the time I'm devoting to Hive of late, is it even worth continuing? Should I power down, take my losses and leave? I mean...is my content even worth the time and effort? Should I step back from crypto and the internet altogether? I had the wonderful plan to sell up my house some years back and live a more nomadic life...However, I was still actively running communities online and needed internet, ever since then, it's been a struggle. My internet connection sucks, my communities have fallen away and things haven't worked out to plan! "The best laid schemes o' mice an' men gang aft agley". I guess what we learn in school does set us up for life. Huh?
Anyhoo, let's focus on some positives this week, Saturdaysavers is slowing and giving me the opportunity to play catch up! I missed a week or two, and now Saturdaysavers missed their weekend post, so I'm taking the advantage and slothing out and making week 16's update today! I think that almost counts, then i can use power up day tomorrow for week 17! Sounds like a good plan for a sloth!
Starting Balance:
Week 1:
HP: 7665 (2335 Needed)
SlothBuzz: 141 (59 Needed)
Last week's update:
Week 14
HP: 7,921 (2079 needed / 11% achieved - 89% remaining)
SlothBuzz 178 (22 needed/ 63% achieved - 37% remaining)
Today's Update:
Week 16
HP: 7,975 (2025 needed / 14% achieved - 86% remaining)
SlothBuzz 180 (20 needed/ 67% achieved - 33% remaining)
Sloth steps towards that 10K goal, life has recently got me pondering whether I'm focusing on the right things. Should I continue my Hive journey, aiming for high power and some 'influence', or should I put my money into something possibly more lucrative? Can Hive succeed and bring us untold riches? Or is it doomed to fail a sloth death? It's a question I'm going to be asking myself over the coming days, and, no doubt, whatever decision I make will be the wrong one! So if you see me powering down, you should probably buy as much Hive as possible because it's about to moon! On the other hand, if I start powering up, things are likely to go awry, and those readers who enjoy my content but don't bother voting for it will likely cause everything to crash and bring Hive down by selling all their HP? (Damn, Grammarly making whole new sentence adjustments now, I don't think I like that!) Because sloth just has that much effect on world events! LOL!
Onwards and upwards, wherever that may be; let's hope my internet and motivation last until tomorrow for Power Up Day! I'll maybe see you there!
Until next time,
Sloth out.
I know how you feel. I'm in the same quandary myself. I'm not tied to a particular system, and I'm not doing anything with my earned HIVE or HBD.
I'm thinking I should give YouTube a crack with tutorial videos or maybe start a podcast, but both seem to be more hassle than they're worth.
Maybe I should just leave the internet. It's not like I'll be missed. Most of the social platforms are filled with bots and scammers so what's my time worth to me?
Hive seems to focus on the interaction aspect to get yourself ahead, I guess, much like any social media, you have to be social!
I pondered doing more youtube/streaming but my internet connection isn't good enough for that either. It's a weird position I find myself in. I never wanted to be a 'computer guy' and always preferred being outdoors, yet now I can't be a computer guy, I'm not sure I want to be outdoors either haha!

Funny. I used to work as a computer guy and although I liked the outdoors I couldn’t be bothered. Now I quit being a computer guy and I work outdoors as a postie.
I was waiting for it.. So it never came out, I hope Shanibeer is okay, mind you I know she was going to Paris in the Spring.
Keep slothing onwards.. it is a challenge!
I tend to miss them on the Saturday and play catch up during the week, haven't caught them the last couple of weeks so slight relief it's delayed. A Paris trip delay sounds delightful, well, not a delayed pairs trip, but meh! Words!

yeah, I absolutely feel you. I am trying to run a baking business.. anything to earn some extra income because what I was earning here on hive has quartered. And it sucks. I can feel that my own specific communities that I post into, don't curate or payout like they used to and the interaction between hivers has wavered. its sad, and it's difficult to stay motivated to stay on track . I did a double post last week to make up for my missing out on the Busy Bees Curation Post last week. It's taken me all day. Well, at we all we still have each other, right?
