Good morning buzzers! A new day, another park photo! I was going to upload last night's night photo, but my phone hasn't updated yet, so that can wait until tomorrow! Today I'll share some pictures of the local horse chestnut tree! It's a big beauty! Takes me back to my childhood when we collected the 'seeds' and played conkers! This entailed attaching the Conkers on the end of a piece of string and then swinging them widely at each other's conkers trying to smash it!

A great game to play as a kid, and if nothing else, you had a deadly weapon to flail about! Inside those soft green spikey cases were small brown 'seeds', I say small, some could be as big as your hand as a child! Perfect for battling it out for supremacy in the playground!

Well, that's all for now! Until next time,

Sloth out!

We used to make little people/animals out of the seeds. Stick matches in them to "connect" them for a little statue. Might be something for your kids. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kastanienm%C3%A4nnchen

So that's what a chestnut tree looks like.. are they all "horse" or are there different types of chestnuts? Pic looks dope! Conkers sounds hectic though - thanks mate for sharing.
