Wednesday Walk, on a Thursday morning, again!

True to Sloth's nature, I missed my Wednesday walk spot, so decided to hit the trail on Thursday morning! I've rather enjoyed sharing these short posts about my walks. Sometimes stopping to take a picture allows you to truly appreciate the beauty of your surroundings.

Today I invite you along the Scottish coast, to explore some of nature's best trails! I must admit, it's only in the last year or two I've really come to appreciate the beauty of Scotland. I've always loved being Scottish, but to stop and take a look around at some of the awesome scenery and History of Scotland is truly breathtaking!

Today's walk was roughly 8500 steps, my tracker watch was out of battery so I don't have the proper data. Roughly 4 miles all in, a walk along the coast to the city and back.

The dog and I set off with high hopes of staying dry, with rain forecast all afternoon, luckily, we managed to stay dry(ish). It doesn't matter where we go he manages to find the dirt/puddles and get himself into some messes! The joys of being a young dog exploring life! Oh to have his energy!

We continued along past the old castle/watchtower and in towards the old dock, some of the old harbour walls can still be seen, both the ancient ones and the more recent ones, both in a state of dismay!

Being a coastal path, there are plenty of ups and downs, from small slopes to steep steps. One of my favourite parts of this walk is a particularly old set of stairs, they almost look like they're part of the hill but instead are man-made to ease the walk! I quite like the angle in the photo also, made them look slightly steeper than they are!

As usual, the dog had plenty of time to run around, and we had a short game of fetch to tire him out, I've actually had a good few hours of peace, although I can see him stirring as we approach his "dinner" time. It's amazing how good dogs seem to be at telling the time, or maybe it's just the schedule they're used to. Something this sloth could learn from the dog in that case!

Speaking of learning from the dog, we could all be a little more dog, always excited to meet people, tails wagging with any attention, sounds like a few people I know, except it's their tongue that does most of the wagging!

As much as I would have loved to end the post as above, at an exceptional 420 words, I thought I would push towards 500 again to partake in the 500 words a day community with this post. I do hope it's getting some more love, was one of the first communities I stumbled into when joining Hive, setting yourself a challenge is a great way to keep yourself motivated to Hive! So if you feel Alive and thriving, Pimp your way through 500 words a day then you can sit and enjoy some Pizza!
