What this did for me was to help me build a concentration for some of the tokens that differed from my Hive Goals. This year, it's going to be a little different for me. I still don't have much to save but there is still some concentration.

My 2023 Saturday Savers Club Plan With @sally-saver

As we have come to the midway point of growth, I will take a look at my progress & share the changes I have decided on over the past few weeks. I continue to be driven to save every way I can starting with my primary & secondary focus in building my SPI & BXT. In addition to saving on Hive, I am also saving offline in my native currency (USD), also following the 365 daily compound plan.

As things have become tougher as the weeks go by & token prices increase or the weekly amounts are higher & climbing, I needed to make some adjustments to my goals.

Main Focus SPI & BXT

SPI - Primary & BXT - Secondary

The adjustments start here with SPI at the top of the list. Originally my plan was to increase SPI & BXT by 1 token each week. While BXT has not been an issue SPI has. The token has grown to an amount that is a little difficult for me to buy 1 token & have enough funds to meet all my other savings goals. So I have decided to buy a minimum of 0.5 SPI & 1BXT. This has changed the total goal for SPI, from 57.030 to 40.440. I had actually made this decision after week 21 which left me with 31 weeks at the new amount. Should the time arise & I can manage to get more then planned. I will & would still love to reach my original goal but, will be happy if I can only reach the new goal or anywhere in between.

Let's see where I stand Week # ;

Halfway mark: 50% = old goal 28.515........ New goal 20.22

As you can see, I am right on according to the original goal, however with the new buy amount things won't line up at the end unless some miracle comes along.

My 365 Plan

I made the attempt and found it to be a bit much but, I need to hold more of these tokens & it's not going to happen by me just saying it. Some of these tokens are a bit on the pricey side for me, but right now I see them as fair game while the prices are down a little.

The pricey tokens has become just out of reach for me as the daily & weekly amounts have grown higher. So as a result I have separated out CTPSB & WORKERBEE. I gave them their own chart & figures so that I may continue to grow them.

The chart is growing along with the Savings;

The chart has grown to the next page so I've changed the chart display to where it displays my goal & beginning balance, then from week 18 to present. What I added and total, along with what I actually hodl. I originally thought I would add just what I needed each week but found that getting a bit confusing. So I will add what I buy & show what I actually hold as some of these tokens are rewarded to me for various reasons.

INDEX, LBI, DHEDGE Week 26

At Halfway things are looking good!!

  • INDEX is at 67%
  • LBI is at 30%
  • DHEDGE is at 66%

image.png

While LBI is down a little INDEX & DHEDGE is soaring. I'm not sure how that happened but it let's me know that I need to add a little extra LBI whenever I can.

CTPSB & WORKERBEE Week 26
Tis is my new chart for these two tokens, They are a tad bit pricey for me as the weekly amounts got higher. it's been that way for a while now so I had to make some adjustments to contine on instead of getting disappointed later on.

image.png

To make this chart I started with the total amount for week 3, which covers the first 21 days of the plan. I then added the equivalent of the first seven days ($.28) to each week. Even as I look at this chart, I see down the line where things might still get a little tricky.

Offline Savings

I am also saving offline on the 365 Plan, I sure can use $667.95 at the end of the year, how about you.

For this task I had to make my own chart to follow as while the one they used in the Saturday Savers Club was definitely okay, but I find that it gets a little confusing further down in the chart. If you find that's the case for you & you like my chart, feel free to make use of it. (12 Weeks At-A-Time Chart). I only put out 12 weeks at a time as that's what fits on a sheet of paper & keeps it even. (Weeks 1-12) (Weeks 13-24)It's an MS Excel file which will copy & paste easily to almost any software. The (*) in the CHK column denotes that it's complete.

Now that we are in Week 26, Halfway, It's time for a new chart.

Saving For A Unicorn

My Bank Is Growing!!

I've had this bank for a while now & before I decided to use it for my savings it was nearly full & held nearly $20. I like Unicorns and that's what made me buy this bank. 'Saving for a Unicorn' as if that's possible, Unicorns are mythical creatures but somehow, they have been used as a symbol of many things. It's also a symbol for the group that bought me to hive, #CTP (https://ctptalk.com), we believe that every cent made is another cent toward saving a Unicorn.

Weeks 24-26 comparison

Saving For a Unicorn! I was worried that the difference wouldn't be noticeable but now not only can we see the difference, but I believe the Unicorn has out grown the process. I could keep using the bank but that will mean that every two weeks I will have to go through the whole process of emptying the bank & starting over. That's just too much wasted time! Added $11.55 for week 24. $12.04 for week 25 & $12.53 for this week, for a total of $178.57 as of July 1, 2023.

Week 24-26 Comparison crp.png

The bank is so full that I had to just stack the remainder in front of the bank. Time to retire the bank!

When The Bank Is Full, Time To Recycle Again!

With this week this will become a thing of the pass. Instead of recycling every few weeks. I will put the money directly into the account and keep the savings going that way. See below what happens if I'm short on funds.

As you can see at in the pic of the bank for week 26 filled the bank & ran it over. So on to the recycle process for the last time. Check out below the bank account's balance after this recycle, I will post the new pic with each each deposit.

Some how My chart & my account is not adding up. With so much going on with me personally, somewhere I must have forgotten a deposit or counted something wrong. Well, IT HAPPENS!, I will spend the next few weeks trying to catch that up as I need for my Bank Account & Chart to match.

Savings Text Divider.png

Where does my savings come from?

It started out with all the change I find in the bottom of my purse, after a couple of days I get all the change out & put it somewhere, it usually would go in my bank, but now I have a change cup. I will only put the designated amount in the bank that I need to, all other change will go into my change cup. And now that things are moving right along. The bank is retiring * the change cup will be semi retired, as methods are changing again. So Here's my latest pic of my 'Change Cup', for the first time the cup is completely empty, only to receive a little change that was left after I broke some of the ones that were in the cup.

Week 26 Bank Extras crp.png

Savings Text Divider.png

New this week.

Now that the bank has out grown the savings, the change cup will continue to have change in it just in case. and the bank may show up occasionally. My plan to continue will be that I will just put the weekly amount directly into the account unless a time comes along where I don't have the money in the bank. I will than pull out the 'Unicorn' to hold the weekly amount until I can get to the bank.

Well this about covers my saving plan for this week with @sally-saver & her Saturday Savers Club. If you care to join or would like to know more about the club, just click on the bright yellow banner below.

Keep up the good saving work, I need to think of doing the saving plan with any spare funds i can find. It is good to get that habit working.

Thanks!! Hey even if you don't do the 365 plan you can always do something like a dollar a day or even 5 dollars a week. You also can just use a large jar and throw your change in it everyday or week. I used to do that before Saturday Savers came along & every so often I take it to the bank & have an extra 30 or 40 dollars.
