Tribute to the best rock bands, today is: "The Eagles"
Good evening, today I want to talk to you about a group that brings back many memories of my childhood. It was the album that my father liked the most and he always used to play it every Sunday morning.
So I'll start.
Beginnings 1971-1973
The Eagles are an American band with over 200,000 albums sold worldwide and their music is unique as they combine rock, country and folk. Glenn Frey was the one who created the group in 1971 in Los Angeles. And their first album, called Eagles (1972) was a success as soon as it was released, songs like "Take It Easy" and "Witchy Woman" made that happen.
consolidation 1974-1976
- In 1974, Don Felder joined the group. The guitarist's arrival made the rock music more noticeable and this made the band start to gain international recognition and topped the charts. The album "On the Border" and soon after "One of These Nights" in (1975) with songs like "Lyin' Eyes" and "Take It to the Limit" made their songs reach more places.
1976 His great album
- In 1976, after hours of study, the great album "Hotel California" was born, but this sound was thanks to the entry of Joe Walsh into the group, and he introduced even more rock sounds. On this album we can also find songs like "New Kid in Town" and "Life in the Fast Lane"
1977-1980 Changes
- In 1980 the tragic news arrived:
Following the success of Hotel California, the band released The Long Run (1979), which was successful with singles such as "Heartache Tonight" and "I Can't Tell You Why", but internal tensions within the group began to intensify. In 1980, after their tour to promote the album, disputes between the members became unsustainable and the band officially broke up in 1980.
1994-present
- It seems that the tensions have gone away and it is normal that after being separated for almost 10 years they got back together to tour. But things did not end there, since they were so successful that they stayed together and in 2007 they released a new album "Long Road Out of Eden", but Glenn Frey died and we all thought that things would end there. But again the group got together and this time Glenn Frey's son joined the group and to this day they are still active.
But I'll stick with Hotel California, which, as I said above, is an album that brings back memories of my childhood.
